Google Coral device with Snapdragon 855 shines on Geekbench

This might be a new Chromebook since the Coral moniker is not new at all.

i thint that to.. producers should try to keep simplicity, not al those features which complicate life.. FP on behing, one or 2 cameras and that is it..
i cant look at huawey or samsung 4 camera lenses on behing.. it is not normal.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2019Side FPS please ... I agree. The on screen finger print thing, assuming it is a thing, is flaky at best. I have had to remove and re-scan my fingerprints on my 6T three times! Absolute gimmick plus it is slower than a physical FPS...!

If it is a phone which I doubt then it will be great Google always launch there flagships at the end of the year which isn’t ideal as Qualcomm release there top snapdragon processor the start of the year. Releasing the flagship Pixel 4 and 4 XL around March would serve them better I feel and should be done each year.

3296 of single core performances isn't the 10% improvement that you are saying against the Pixel 3's score of 2383 (best one). Hell, isn't against the best 845 device of your test in the Pixel 3's review (Xperia XZ3 has a 2486 score).

                Maths are clear:

                Against Pixel 3: 3296/2383 a massive +38% of improvement.
                Against XZ3:3296/2486 +32%.

The single core score is the one that anyone can expect to improve with the jump from 845 to 855, because of the use of the semicustom A76 against semicustom A75 with Qualcomm's SoCs.

It's a more relevant jump than the one that you can see with 835-845 (with a improvement in single score of around 25%, taking apart that the frequencies are higher with 845 vs 835, and then not all the improvement is because of IPC and architectonical improvements).

KuZi, 25 Jan 2019that naming "Pixel XL 3 Lite", yeah, people dont know what ... moreXL refers to size, and Lite refers to specs. Doesn't seem too complicated

that naming "Pixel XL 3 Lite", yeah, people dont know what they want and then this happens.

XL and Lite in the same phone is really a strange thing after BLU Vivo One Plus phone...well, who knows, but then, better this 2 new suposed devices hit the market at least with 400 pricetag or less, since 3 XL is about 600 or less right now.

I hope it is a phone for near release. I suspect not though.
