I think it's an expensive cut board. Don't they have any peculiar smartphone feature to show us that's why they are doing this.

Image retention on LCD is not permanet like OLED burn in but in the future you'll keep getting the same issue.
Just like me in 1 week i get 3 different image retention Opera Browser, Youtube and Instagram.
If i turn off the phone for more than 1 hour the image retention will be gone almost completly but if i use the phone for more than 15 minutes i'll get image retention again.

Most people don't aware that their phone has image retention mine more visible when i use gray or dark background.
