I can feel it clearly in a phone with MT6589T and 2Gb of RAM. Even if only two apps are running and the phone is doing something in the background like updatig messages, etc. The games you can run are limited too, and you usually find a lot of them not compatible. For the price HMD ask for these superlow end phones you can buy a Xiaomi Redmi phone that dance around them in performance, cameras, etc. Is like ask you the price of a new Renault Megane and then give you a Renault Twizy.

Enough for basic tasks like FB, Whatsapp, Youtube, Camera, Instagram, HEREmaps and even Games like mobile legend.. What more could you ask for a BASIC phone?

hmm... that is somewhat interesting that probably either someone at HMD or Google/AOSP decided to bump up to an ARM64/ARMv8 based SoC "quietly". Because the 1st gen Android Go base specs were not just too "cheap" but a really really bad way of nerfing future proofing when everyone knows 32 bit Android apps were gonna get canned sooner than later.
I still view that trying to keep things at 1GB RAM is a poor excuse of RRP jacking. Even if they say that these supposedly sub $150 max phones, it's just another way for keeping the RAM makers happy by way of fixing market minimums.

A poorly specced 5 inch compact that nobody will buy. And market research will proudly state that 98.67% of buyers, did not buy the Nokia 1Plus. Therefore, 98.67% of the market rejected the only 5 inch compact available. Hence, compact phones have no demand. Bring out that 6.5 slab.

Cheap phones with good quality and performance is something really good,how about 1GB of RAM? Hell no way,thank you very much ,you do nothing with that memory capacity, added 50 dollar to the price and make it 3 GB of RAM. Mediatek is understanable, I just can't tolerate the memory.

Nokia 1's speaker is simply terrible.As if Nokia made it for anything except Music playback.Hopefully this new version will have a much better speaker
