Somewhere here was topic that the most selling flagship of 2018 was Pocophone i can believe that.
Having a 300 eur phone which does same tricks as other much more expensive competitors phones is a lot better than buy a lot more expensive phone which have nothing important more compared to a Pocophone.
Tossing 600+ more bucks out of windows is not my case.
I rather give coin to the poor and homeless.

But if sony misses a compact phone or samsung the a30, will be a phablet as well. I rather some 5", phone from 2017. You have options but not just this year's phablets. Is up to you. As for me i refuse to have a tablet in my pocket .

It's more like phone prices are migrating obscenely upwards. Whereas once 400+ was reserved for premium, now most mid-range and flagship killers are jumping this price point.

these figures never include units sent back and refunded and so on but only showing how many sent out.
I work in logistics more than 25years now and can tell you that one is sent out is sold.
Cancelled orders, repairs, exchanges, damage in transport, lost in transit and unsold stock that's going back to DC.

Anyway every flagship is too big unless is from 2016, maybe 2017. Perhaps that's why phone market is declining because they only make phablets. I'm careful user and don't buy new smartphone every year. Be it flagship or not. But I never buy old smartphone even if it is cheaper. So if I want iPhone I will wait for next generation iPhone. Many people buy expensive phones and after few months new one is released in almost same price. They are crying so badly.

Of course >$400 phone sales is rising since it's hard to find a good phone below $400 anymore. But those are not premium phones anymore, those are mid-range phones. Premium phones cost over $800 now
