So, there are 3 major differences between this pro model with the original redmi note 7,
    1. The chipset (SD 675)
    2. Camera sensor (Sony IMX 586)
    3. Internal Storage options (128 GB)

Gosh, i wish there is one more difference for this pro model, i really wish it also has dedicated sd card slot so bad.. If it's going to be, it would be perfect for me.

But honestly, to be fair, this current specs information of this phone is definitely more than enough.. man!!
keep up the goodwork xiaomi :)

NFC..? Come on Xiaomi you can do it

6/128 with reasonable price and I might skip Mi 8 / Mix 3 for this. Even if the later Mix 3 5G edition may come with the same sensor but certainly better processing, I think this should suffice my needs. I hope the main camera has OIS as well, though.

If i want a flagship phone then i expect it to be flawless in every possible way to be acceptable for the price they ask for.

If i get perfect hardware phone for 200 euro then i expect that it's not perfect and some part of it will have lower quality. Last year come out new Iphones and on release they already had software problems. This isnt acceptable if they ask 1000+ euro for there phone. It needs to be flawless and perfect in every part of the device

Dan, 30 Jan 2019Having a 6+128GB option is a must in this price range. 64GB... moreYep and we need a second sim, so 64GB is seriously limiting.

"Lu Weibing, Redmi CEO, asked fans what do they want from the Redmi Note 7 Pro ..."

Wow. I have a LOT of respect for companies that Listen to Customers. Samsung please open your Ears and LISTEN to customers more carefully. You are great on tech, but changes regarding battery sizes and features on mid range phones is slow (thank God for the new 'M-Series'). Also Samsung needs to Create a separate division for Smartphone Imaging Sensors and Processors, and aim for a '2025 Roadmap', by which time smartphone Sensors and Computational Photography should help smartphone sensors equal ILC/DSLR photo and video quality. I can imagine a 1/1.6" 12-48MP (Quad Bayer or Bayer+B&W with a super thing mechanical shutter) sensor with 120fps Full Res @ 12-bit and 60fps Full Res @ 14-bit RAW, 4k@240fps 12-bit. This would be equalling ILC quality if the right lenses and good processing is used. HDR can vastly improve Dynamic Range, Low Light as well as Sharpness, and if the final image is stored at a minimum 10-bit HEIF format(or 12-bit), the final image quality could easily rival DSLRs. Right now Image Sensors aren't fast enough and do not do 14-bit RAW. Plus imaging processors (ISPs on processors) also need to improve vastly (the Exynos 9820's 8k at 30fps seems like things are heading in the direction).

I don't care about iPhones, since they are overpriced rubbish, and frankly before the XS (which does great video and very impressive photo), I felt the camera and video quality was mostly rubbish. Even Huawei is improving exponentially.

'Listen to Customer or Perish' should be the new Mantra.

Having a 6+128GB option is a must in this price range. 64GB of storage isn't enough for many users nowadays.

Anonymous, 30 Jan 2019Umm, you're confusing Xiaomi fans for iPhone fans We know p... moreI think you're the confused one. iPhone owners don't give a s... about specs or if the phone is "perfect". They need something that can do FaceTime and iMessage and a good camera one time, every time. They buy it because it is serviceable and fits their needs.

Xiaomi fans, on the other hand, want people to know at every opportunity that "Xiaomi phones are perfect" or "Your criticism against Xiaomi phones are invalid" or "Xiaomi numbahwan (number one)" and will basically shame anyone who tries to disagree with them. Just look at how Xiaomi fans dislike-bombed GSMArena's "Everything that's WRONG with the Pocophone F1" YouTube video.

Both 6Gb and 128GB are a must at least as an option (Global version including), if not as the default option. But "being onto something" doesn't mean we'll get both so i'll be careful with the optimism.
