The status bar is going to be quite deep, deeper than even the notched OnePlus phones. This is where the problem is for me. The hole in itself is not that big a problem (for me at least), but because of it, there's going to be deep status bar which means I'm not gaining much actually usable screen estate.

Anonymous, 30 Jan 2019You forgot xperia series lolSeriously, Xperia XZ2 and XZ3 have better battery life than XS max, OnePlus 6 and Xiaomi Mi 8 comparable to P20 pro, Mate 20 and OnePlus 6T.
Also, they don't have ugly notches or holes and utilize the bezels for front-facing stereo speakers which are industry leading.

That ugly hole in the screen is no better than a notch. Maybe it's even worse looking and taking up a bigger chunk of the screen. Then s9+ looked much better
