Any of the people have really used nokia lumia, I mean it.
I have explored this mobile over 1 hour at nokia store. Its just awesome. I mean it. It looks different than most of the new androids. It is better looking than HTC radar and HD7. It runs smoothly as knife in butter. All online services are working excellently even with EDGE, and i mean it, demo piece was using docomo gsm card. Camera works excellently.
Display was awesome. Good view even in day light at 2 pm.

Now talking about android, my E61 works more consistently than my samsung galaxy. It has a bit of lag, but more consistent. No hanging no unexpected shut down or force close. My n900 works like a charm even after 1 yr 3 months without any modification.
iphone 4 and 3gs are bascially advnced JAVA phone. and i mean it.
Window 7 have no true multi tasking, but improvement in 1 year is remarkable. and i dont think after new update known as tango, people will have OS equivalent to competition.
There is phone for each need, if u dont need nokia, or nokia is not fitting into your spec sheet, forget it and buy another one.
Why do u bash nokia or samsung or other companies. At the end of day, they are smarter than us.

have a nice time.

If these guys know ANYTHING about marketing in India they should know that fancy helicopter rides and tennis stars won't sell their phones - the only thing that will is the PRICE!

And I'm disappointed at the price - especially the "lower-end cousin" the 710 should have been priced at 15,000/-

I love the Lumia but not a great start Nokia.

AnonD-2664, 16 Dec 2011I have a soft corner for Nokia becoz like most of the India... moreMe as well - 8 out of the 10 phones I've had so far were Nokia; and they served me well (back in the 2000s).

I love the Lumia and was eager to get it here in Chennai but I'm a tad bit disappointed with the pricing.
19,000 is kinda high for the 710.
They should've marked it at around 15,000.

I have an HTC mobile and recently touch panel had issues for second time. The cost of replacement is high. I believe Nokia spares are not that costly. Thinking of going back to Nokia with Lumia 710. Will do some analyze before i buy.

[deleted post]Well, I have had several nokias. Started with a nokia 3330, then switched after a very long time to a 6300, then the brilliant n95 and then I was royally screwed over by a product called n97. After some time I switched over to a htc desire. Great phone even by today's standards. Then I tried going back to a nokia c7. The desire running oxygen/Cyanogen felt far far better than the s^3 phone. Then I bought the sgs2 which is my current phone. I still have my 3330 and it's functional!!!. I have nothing against nokia except that they have what is in my opinion bad choices when it comes to hardware. I have also played with several iphones over the years but never owned them. Wp7 reminded me of all the locked downness of iOS minus the colour and great app variety.

I haven't even mentioned hardware anywhere. But just so that you know the lumia 800 runs the same cpu/gpu combo of the arc. The lack of features are on the software side. File system access was available even on my 6300. But the lumia running such advanced hardware can't do that. Microsoft may have been in business for decades, but one settles on a product based on its feature set not the name backing it. Atleast that is how I do it.

However, I've got a question for you. Why so serious???? :-)

WP7 OS is awesome. own a new Samsung WP7 phone for a few weeks. Its the only lively color smartphone. Can pin apps to the home page and live Tiles give you real time updates.

Buy one to experience, you will never go back to those all dead icon phones aka android iOS. which have to keep on clicking.
Facebook, twitter, chat all integrated so seamlessly.
Tellme works so nicely and even opens Apps

WP7 True Innovation unlike android which only copied iOS.

Only downside is the number of Apps, but there are more 45K QUALITY apps on market place which will surely satisfy all.

AnonD-25061, 16 Dec 2011better to go for arc s or s2... Nokia losted their MOST RE... moreThat's true. Nokia is overcharging for this phone. There are a lot of better options out there like the ones you mentioned.

Nokia have lost the trust of the people and the investors. They managed to break their all time 52 week low today. Nokia have set a new record low for themselves.

I am not paid to write, but I sure have been burned by some past purchases. Mostly purchases from nokia. And this phone is less featured in many ways as compared to old handsets. That is a fact

It's frustrating that the 800 isn't even here yet and the 710 is only marked as 'coming soon'. A lot of people here really wanted to get their hands on the Lumias.

I'm glad the Lumia is now in India and I hope Nokia succeeds with WP7.

When Nokia first launched their Lumia line, I was so excited because I wanted to add a WP7 2nd phone to my Android.

Unfortunately it's taking them so long to reach my country so I went out and bought an htc Radar instead!

Now I'll just wait for the Lumia 900 and see what it offers.

This thing is less featured than any old symbian phone. No file management, bt transfers, multitasking, heavily dependant on zune. Most of us would not like this new set of restrictions.

Plus the galaxy s2 retails at 27000 while the ArcS retails at 26000. This thing will get killed in the market.
