Personally i want LG to keep existing. Their phones are the quickest to get massive price cuts and with a few months wait, you can buy their phones for really good prices.

Specs and design are also top-notch. The only disappointing aspects usually are the mediocre battery life, inferior camera quality & slow software updates.

Crazy LG!!! 2019 will be LG's year.
The lg v30 is probably the best phone you could get today considering it's crazy features and price. The phone is around 400$ (only 300$ on Aliexpress, crazy) but comes with a quadDAC which if you would want to get one separately would cost you around 400$, plus headphones which are around 100-150$ . You also get one of the best OLED screens of today (early models had some problems but latter ones resolved them), 2 great cameras (the wide angle one is truly insane), a very good speaker (not the best but not the worst either), 2 microphones which can record HD sound up to 142db (the only phone that can do that), manual photo and video controls and water and durabillity standard (this thing wont break easily even tough is made of glass) and much more that I don't have the time to tell you. Also is very thin and light and looks like a jewel. The only thing I hate is that you cannot replace the battery and the removal of the IR blaster.

Shanti Dope, 30 Jan 2019HTC was pretty much also irrelevant in the smartphone world... moreAgree with you. I always had interest in Sony and LG phones, HTC not so much but it's nice to see what's going on with their next flagship. Now I think all 3 brands left my country since Huawei has been killing the competition here after they became mainstream.

KF, 30 Jan 2019Last chance for LG before they become obsolete. And speakin... moreHTC was pretty much also irrelevant in the smartphone world today, with products that are barely unique or as compelling as many other devices
LG might be in the same state right now, but at least they are doing something good, such as being the only screen supplier of true HDR10 capable OLED screens, incredible Hi-Fi Quad DAC, nice versatile camera software controls, and military grade protection.
Sony, on the other hand, is just pretty much up there with the best, but not being exactly as known. Their ideas are still used by many manufacturers today, and they're still supplying about 40% of the smartphone makers with their superb camera sensors, which is definitely giving them a lot of profit to sustain their nearly closing mobile division
Now if they allot more of their profit into proper advertisings and improving market share and aftersale services, then it might easily turn things around for them in just a few years.

So from the most sustainable to least sustainable state, it would be Sony>LG>HTC

2019 will be the year of Xiaomi. Already Redmi Note 7 kicks asses with price/power. All I need is a phone with decent desktop mode and I say good bye to Samsung.

LG’s plan to win the 5G battle with Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi is to focus on the hardware instead of software. Specs supremacy is typically Samsung’s game, so we’ll see how that goes.

When did LG ever focus on Software?

Overpriced compared to competitors & very, very slow updates for their flagships.
LG are the Dodo of phones if they don't adjust their strategy.

well, i used to love LG, until they keep cuting costs in phone making it with less features or region specific ones.

Since they already cut IR Blaster, and do region specific models with Quad-DAC or wireless charging and dont put all togheter worldwide i think LG will have a bad moment now.

My G6 wich i really love, even without have none of the features above sayid but well, its a well made phone, but now they need to step up and be gone with that stuP|d notch, nobody like it, LG you need to be original and bring back the things we used to know LG for.

G line could be dead for sure, V series is what they are for right now so, gone with G and step the game with V.
