Android Continues to Lead the North American Market Share
NPD just released the U.S. smart phone market survey report between 2011 January to October , after a careful study of the results is still very interesting --- Android system's market about discount electronics share has already risen to 53 %, while Apple's data and the second quarter of 2011 survey data is entirely consistent, which means that, iOS growth is slowing or even stopping.
The newest Android phone and best android tablet share of the growth rate can be used to describe the rocket ---in 2009 had just 9%, while according to the latest data in the year to October, its share already more than half,which iOS to catch up. iOS share data compared to the second quarter of this year without any growth, it seems iOS to continue keeping customers by means of the original is not so easy.
In addition, RIM's BlackBerry OS accounted for 10% share, compared to the data in the second quarter fell slightly, which means that the OS7 new phone such like BlackBerry 9930 and BlackBerry 9810 did not work.Though Windows Phone 7 has been customers , but the share is still lower. Before it can take charge of department , we also need to wait a long period of time. But compared to the webOS and Symbian, Windows Phone 7 can be lucky.

Please post this news in the Blog section, this has nothing to do to stay on the main page. This ROM is leaked, unofficial and purely for testing. I don't know why this is on the main page, a very big mistake by GSMArena!

So g... moreThankfully i DON'T have a Wave 2 however my partner does and a couple of friends do too (i'm a none smartphone user and proud of it, been there done that), so nothing to get over. My concern is that with companies trying to please everyone in the end they end up short changing everyone to some extent.This 'leak' for example is another case in point.

well it is hard task to explain the android based phones in brief i just wana one thing about samsung that it iz unbelivable and less words much noise ................. i love samsung i have been using samsung smart phone since 4 years and since 1996 samsung proof that samsung is best and best what so ever .......... god bless samsung

In reply to those mentioning Bada and the Samsung total lack of customer support i agree with you 100%. Is it any wonder people are so fed up with phone companies who treat customers with utter disregard when it comes to updates! LG had its fair share of people who were totally fed up with lack of customer support and they are now joined by Samsung.
Why don't they just come straight out with it and say they have no interest at all in the Bada system and are totally focused on Android, That way then those who are still holding out in (fading) hope of updates can finally say bye bye to Samsung, a few people i've spoken to are determined that they are going to boycott Samsung in future and it won't just be phone sales either they will be losing out on. Samsung needs to cut the range of phones they have and focus on producing a select few and then MAYBE they could turn their attention to customer support.

FAKE/ILLEGAL hence the warranty goes). The OFFICIAL update by Samsung is due Jan/Feb for the S2 as far as i am aware. I am still stuck on 2.3.3 and it says no update available. Cant even do it through KIES which is a pain. I have the ICS theme which i downloaded off the Market which gives you the ICS feel. Roll on the official update and not the CUSTOM ROMS.

Like the article says, "it's still buggy" which means it isn't ready for release. This rom is exactly what the article says it is: a leak. It's beta and isn't meant for normal users. Have patience

Go on Samsung-update all the Galaxies and give them your all. After all that's what ever mattered to you. For us bada users guess it's still gonna be a longer wait. December is waving goodbye and bada 2.0 is still a pipedream. Seriously Samsung how does a goddamn OS remain in beta for 1 year?! Someone somewhere ought to get sacked ASAP!
