If you insisted in purchasing in shops that is appointed by the brands or looking for the newest flagships, such low prices would certainly be impossible. In my understandings, thousands of phones were returned back to retail shops due to many reasons but most of them are actually working great. The only problem is whether you have the time and patience to get one.

SquadBoi, 05 Feb 2019You do realise the Galaxy S8 still costs 5X of what these phones... moreIf the place I live, I can get a brand new S8 for lower price than M20. Actually, I am using a S8+ which cost lower then the newly announced M20.
By the way, I have never used Xiaomi phones, and will not use phones just for its price, yet I will not just be fooled by brand names.

Plus you're using Samsung Experience. I'm talking about One UI which is much better than Samsung Experience

Nowadays consumers want big batteries, not those useless slim body.

Mi A2 yes it's solid phone, with better processor than those two Samsung, but battery life is just mediocare.

Real competition from Xiaomi to M20 is Redmi Note 7, is it better phone, who knows, but thats that.

  • S9 vs Mix 3

Anonymous, 06 Feb 2019No sir, the point where Samsung looses vs Xiaomi is software Xi... moreThats because in Redmi series UI is the smae like in any other flagship Xiaomi (from MI series), same (tons) of options, and even in Redmi series that UI works fast, because of solid choice of Qualcomm processors.. 625 is still good processor (anyway, better than in M10, from same year =2016).

On the other hand, i think in flagship Samsung is better, because have better screens (maybe the best in mobile), and have better cameras, but then again, Samsung S series is more expensive than MI..

I hope than this M series from Samsung will boost that low end Samsung lineup, because those two phones seems good (for the price). Yes, will be better that is not plastic back, and that have Pie out of box. But i guess that will be in M30, with Pie out of box, glass back, and great Super Amoled screen, if they manage to keep price under 200 euros for M30, that will be hit for this year :}

Xiaomi software is miles ahead of Samsung. I used Redmi Note 2 then Redmi note 4x then s8 plus and now using Samsung Note 8 and i can easily say that Note 8 only edge is S pen and camera and a beautiful (but much expensive screen)
Whereas if i compare it to Redmi Note 4x then it lags behind in software by miles which i cannot explain in words. Simply the elite s and note series are no match in software to Xiaomi redmi series. Then comes the hardware which does not justify such a high price tag and i must say that the fingerprint sensor used on Samsung is a nightmare and 1000 times slower than Redmi series

It will be a great news for company looking for better margins and trading preowned phones.

Domestoboto, 06 Feb 2019Not really. People want Samsung to "make compromises" so they'll... moreNo, they just want them to price it lower in general. The lowering of prices for the S9 and Note 9 both showed Howe low the price could've been. The S9+ could've been 700 and the Note 9 could've been 800. Instead, they were sold for more. While I do understand the higher profit margins, they need to lower them and diversify the products to cover any losses

Walter C. Dornez, 05 Feb 2019That's not the point. If they make a phone in answer to Xiaomi p... moreNot really. People want Samsung to "make compromises" so they'll price their phones lower, since they argue there's basically "zero justification" for the price difference between a Pocophone and Note 9/S10 and other midrange phones compared to Redmi Note 7 (and you wrap your all-glass phone in an Otterbox or UAG case, which is all plastic, so the better materials difference is eliminated)...

Domestoboto, 05 Feb 2019That will mean losing money hand over fist, on every single phon... moreThat's not the point. If they make a phone in answer to Xiaomi phones, it gives the consumers more choices. If more choose Samsung and they gain some profit off of each, it could actually be very damaging to Xiaomi. As it stands, Samsung has got the edge on software. All they have to do is increase the price with justification for the cost of better materials

hope many buy this useless camera phone, so that redmi note7 with 48mp will be more freely available for flash sale when launched ..

If they want to keep leading, We're talking about selling the Note 10 or future super developed ddvixes, as well as the foldable Galaxy, for LITERALLY NOT ONE CENT MORE THAN THE GOING PRICE FOR A POCOPHONE ($300/20K Rupees, for the record).

Samsung canNOT afford to lose billions on every single phone sold. They're not Toyota.
