JioPhone 3 will be an all touch smartphone for $63

05 February 2019
An anonymous Jio exec revealed some salient details. The phone sounds powerful enough to run Android, but it's not clear if Jio is leaving Kai OS.

This will be a big competitor against redmi, for sure.

[deleted post]Then what was you talking my bro(Yes, I share my idiotic brain like you, so you are like a brother to me)All sailfish phones had HD screen, and 1 gb ram and a weak processor is good enough to handle a light linux based OS

Jio phone 1and 2 is the reason why kai os is a thing and why google,fb,WhatsApp etc supporting and even investing on kai os. I hope jio to choose sailfish os even create their own os .We really need a third os in the market. or create a android without google like amazon fire OS and nokia x platform. We really need a third os in the market.

YoloBS, 06 Feb 2019Dude just look at the price. Its for first time smartphone ... moreWhich android phone doesn't lag at 4k+ price range. I had a sailfish phone with HD screen without any lag at this price range. (i had a blog aquafishakajollac). Now since there is no nonandroid cheap smartphones(tizen almost dead) I want jio to enter that territory to make a great secondary phone that can be used for certain tasks like multimedia and browsing smoothly, also as first android phone for old/kids/dumbphoneusers

AnonD-454049, 05 Feb 2019It will be smooth if the screen is just below HD('cause I d... moreI have personally used a sailfish phone aquafish with 2 gb ram for 63$ and it never had any lag or hiccups while playing videos in background and browsing , and switching between apps with gestures. So it is definitely possible to have HD without any lag if it is not android

They are moving again towards LYF smartphones launched by Reliance in 2017 but failed drastically.
I would love to have a QWERTY keypad phone with proper working whatsapp and other android apk apps like in Micromax Bharat 1.
                  Not this one.

I switched from Vodafone postpaid to Reliance Jio prepaid and I have saved thousands of bucks. What I paid for Vodafone every month is what I'm paying for Jio every YEAR and the service is also better. Go Jio!

bigmoe87, 05 Feb 201964GB for $66, i dont care what it runs, audio players with ... moreI assume these are subsidized by Jio, as the phone ties you to the Reliance network.

Before releasing, they should fix their 4G network especially from locations from where people have complained about network. I have seen Jio phone being used by elderly people replacing their old feature phones. It is inconvenient when you can't even call forget about whatsapp and Facebook.

64GB for $66, i dont care what it runs, audio players with that storage cost more than that, where im at a good 64GB flashdisk is $45!!
