Fayth, 07 Feb 2019so is 40x optical zoomIs that a 40x zoom lens in your pocket or are you happy to see me? But on a serious note, jokes aside, the SPen is a small device that looks innocuous so someone might not know that it has a camera and is being used to sneakily take inappropriate images of unsuspecting members of public especially females.

In case it does. I just call my husband to rescue my pen ^^:
and No, I turned off Bixby (THANKS to BXActions) and it interrupts the music, I want something that is as seamless as possible.

Just Samsung trying to cover all the bases. Can't see a real practical use for this. I don't think Samsung would even release something like this.

This is quite dangerous and sneaky with perverts in trains and bus rides.

I don't see that much practical use in this. I mean, are you going to run around with a pen taking photos? Or are you going to use the camera in the pen for selfies? Sounds rather pointless. Any use could be you taking a photo of what you wrote on the screen itself, but that is more for a screenshot? Still thinking of its use. May need an explanation how to use it.

(And I don't want to think of how many photos you could take prior depleting the battery in the pen)

Pen cameras have been around since film, and digital pen cameras for I think well over a decade. Digital cameras with wireless transmission are not new, neither are digital cameras with zoom. I don't understand what novel innovation this is patenting.

This is better, in a way if you take selfies or pictures with a group, you don't have to hold a huge slab away and instead a pen that has a camera on it.

Kind of impractical as you can't see your picture at the same time but better than a punch-hole or notch method.

This is a great innovative approach, but this patent is from Samsung so it's likely never going to be a reality, if this were a Chinese patent chances are we would be getting the actual product, the Chinese aren't as conservative

Last S pen failed on Jerry rig everything tests.
By the way this feature sounds completely useless and Samsung will ask 20 more bucks for this.
So expect a note 10 with price of 2000.
