The Huawei P30 will be unveiled at the end of March in Paris

A Huawei press release about its Polish division inadvertently let this tidbit slip.

I am not boasting but my Mate 20 was updated last week of January along with the security patch.9.0.0.183(C636E0R3P2)

While doubling the Polish workforce is welcome, how about launching a device in Poland as well instead of just Paris all the time?
Next year they could choose a different country and so on for the year after that.
Mix things up a bit from the monotony..promote tourism.
Same goes for all other OEM's... I don't want to keep hearing New York, London and Paris for product launches every single time...

Besides Apple isn't even deploying 5G, they aren't even in the networking business. There is no competition to begin with. The other companies deploying 5G are Nokia and Ericsson, none of them are American.

USA Trump , a typical sore loser and will continue to complain. He can change the rules but USA will lose out again in future because their best brains are siphoned off to the NYSE stock markets and legal industries but not to the engineering or manufacturing. Huawei will come on top again in future.

It's using the law to get rid of the competition. For example, two businesses suing each other based on minor irrelevant allegations. In Huawei's case, it's pretty clear the American govt is on a mission to raze Huawei and ZTE to the ground. If a government as powerful as the USA wants to erase a business from the market, then there isn't much said business can do to defend itself. It's quite sad because Huawei products are good value and help to give consumers more choices vs a Apple-Samsung duopoly. Very unfortunate that a phone company gets caught in the middle of the current USA-China trade war and geopolitical fight for #1 place in the 5G race.

It has been al... moreOne of the reasons I dumped huawei was the slow updates on sim free handsets in the uk .... huawei blamed network operators even though I bought a sim free model handset .... work that one out .... I also got through 3 p20 handsets with bad a,oled screens that had severe uniformity issues on dark colours in dim rooms with low brightness ... the screens also had purple fringing on grey when scrolling like in the settings etc this could easily be seen with the app amoled test from play store and selecting the relevant tests .... huawei service was useless and just kept saying the screens were normal .... I also noticed my eyes would become very tired with th huawei phones probably from amoled flicker associated with cheap poor amoled screens which certainly seems to be the case with huawei phones I’ve used including the mate 20 pro

Huawei make some good phones but their main aim is to become number one by ticking every box on a spec sheet so when you compare phones you think the huawei is better because it ticks more on the spec sheets for the same price , they lack support , they lack updates

The phones have some great tech in them but they need to upgrade their whole package to tempt me back after the crappy experience I had

The one who is spying is Apple so its America cause they were caught and its in the news.
Huawei they make good phone and affordable price, the US is saying that Huawei is spying cause they are losing so they think they will kidnap Huawei CFO and sabotage the company.
                      typical American way.

America have a very bad attitude never gonna buy iPhone cause of spying.

Literally NO ONE should worry about Huawei phones, that's not what the espionage accusations are about. Are you in charge of building your country's 5G network? No, then don't worry. :-)
And people in positions of consequence have lots of safeguards for their phones anyways. My government (Canada) doesn't care what phone you have. Apple, Samsung, or Huawei: It stays locked up at the entrance if you work for our security services.

[deleted post]That's not what this forum is about. I simply asked a question if they fixed the green tint's on the $1000 phones that are classified as premium devices. Your only response is to act like a child and call me stupid?
I've asked multiple times if they've come up with a solution because at first Huawei stated they can fix with a software update, then it was later deemed to be a curing process for the rushed to market devices and only for the LG screen's provided.
Anyways, I'm excited to see what new and improved design and cpu this unit will unleash because Huawei is always innovating and creating new and cool devices, not rehashing previous models with minor upgrades.

I struggle to see the benefit of two flagships on the same processor. It might be me, but the Mate and the P series are quite similar.
