      That's insanely great >;)
A patent for turning text parts into clickable links. I'd had this in Nokia phones years before Apple came up with the original iPhone.
Well, albeit this feature is quite useful, I'd say the total creative measure for it isn't big enough so that it would justify a patent.

This was bound to happen with Android taking a bit too much out of iOS's book. This will serve as a bit of a hard lesson, and hopefully Android differentiates itself a bit more, as it has good points.

Why Apple trying to prove? A unique PATENTS that anyone would be sue if try to infringe?
Why don't the Apple sue all the company that use the similar thing? Why only HTCs? Apple do have its many user in US ady.. Why should do those extra thing again? Last time was Samsung now HTC AGAIN? Apple company itself would lost somehow many of the trust within its user... Ban this and that, and sometimes without any logic reasons... Really get bored of Apple, iPhone? NO way!... =(

Apple once again confirmed its stupidity. To hell with Apple & it's devices. I am fed up of them now. Without SJ, Apple is no more shining new, its rotten now.

What's the next move, RIM, Symbian? Symbian was using this feature way back when Apple was a dream. Now they are claiming that its Apple's, this is ridiculous from a company who claims to be the best. BULLSHIT

BlackBerry also uses this feature, so sue them too?

The more of these I see, the more I disrespect Apple. It's unbelievable such trivial things could be patented. I know other companies are involved in this, but they are more about hardware technologies. Apple on the other hand are patenting the smallest of things software side, like in this article, and bounce back if scroll past the menus etc.

                Stupid.

I'll be sure to spread the word how stupid Apple is. Well done Apple.

might be a move to save US economy since apple is a US company and HTC is taiwan...USA will benefit if apple will outsell other phone manufacturer..just my 2 cents

Sounds like the US ITC is in the hip pocket of crApple just like the rest of the Gov is with the RIAA, MPAA et all..
Guess if you can't outsell them then sue them off the market..
