For example updates.
For another example when Nokia gives to their phones PIE, LG phones gets Oreo.
When they start receiving Pie Nokia will use long time Android 10 and many other brands too.
Samsung for example is also bad in updates but not even close to the LG.
And the other thing is quality.
At end of every year are best phones awarded on this site. LG was never honored to any award and it was always last in the line.

I tried this with the Sprint Note8 on Samsung website during a sale for $8/month and after the calculation at check out you'll end up playing close to $70/month for the plan and phone. Really not worth the effort for being stuck two years with a horrible network. You'll save some money, but now you have a new problem, you're on Sprint for two years.

LG phones are bad really bad but TVs are great.
Maybe a best idea is to buy that phone get a free TV and then sell that phone.

Only support on sprint network, won't work on other networks.

Maybe good for someone who wants a phone that is worth that price and needs a TV (college kids basically) but the V40 disappointed me in terms of battery and lack of stereo speakers so...IDK. Guess LG's trying to get rid of their stock.
