Windows phone OS needs time to be recognized as a successful product. My wishes are with nokia.

hmmm... first support for lower res screens, then support for higher res. And of course other features like NFC.

I do hope that this means we'll see truly entry-level WP7 devices, pushing into the featurephone space. I also hope that they keep a tight leash on the allowable resolutions and chipsets so as to keep it easy to develop apps for WP.

I do miss BT file transfer and some other features from my S60 Nokias but I can do file management on SkyDrive if I want.

The support for higher-res screens sounds good. Something I think the Titan could have benefitted from.

Will be interesting to see how the next generation of Windows Phones diversify..

That's the beauty of WP7, when they release an upgrade like Mango, all of the phones get the upgrade pretty quickly. I cannot wait for a Nokia WP7 on Verizon, just hope it comes soon.

I have played with a couple WP devices. My opinion is the platform is actually very good. However, it is not as user friendly as Iphone (my dad 72 was able to figure out Iphone pretty quickly unlike WP), and it is not as customizable as Android (my dad could not figure out android at all). So neither novices nor experts are quite satisfied. I think if Microsoft drops its guard on the METRO UI and lets developers and OEMs to port as many UIs as possible on top of METRO it is going to bring a major boost to its sales. And pretty pathetic looking Windows marketplace (not the number of apps wise but rather the usability of those apps) might get a little more attention to it from the developers and the consumers alike

bongbong, 20 Dec 2011looking for cool design on this updates. I hope they are... moreAgain a generalization, he isn't claiming to be an android fanboy. the fact he is commenting on a Nokia phone post confirms to me he likes Ericssons and Nokias of old.

ps: no denying the gs2 is a rectangular slab, but what phone isn't a.rectangular slab nowadays?

AnonD-29709, 20 Dec 2011well for ur top end Samsung i saw phone awards on phone are... moreIf you haven't read his past posts he isn't an android fanboy but he is somehow obsessed with the form of the phone regardless of the OS and has commented on several articles criticizing almost every phone from Nokia, Samsung, apple, HTC etc etc. you are generalizing that just because one says something bad about a phone you like he is automatically a fanboy of android. Learn to accept criticism or argue, Brynn is more old school with the preference yesterday's phone forms. I also accept that my HTC desire is looking like a boring slab like almost every other phone regardless of OS.

personally i like Lumia and Nokia N9 but I would prefer a 3 inch scree Nokia E6 alike. Important with physically qwerty
                                        that would be a killer!
