Best way to navigate indeed; as long as you are the navigator telling your driver where to go; step out of your car and walk like that and soon enough you will get mugged; as for your Google glasses; mwuahahahah; even worse : how easy to rob one from another's face

Nzi97, 11 Feb 2019If this become a thing, i can see advertising potential in ... moreEverything Google does is to increase ad revenue. This feature will be useful for those walking as it’s sometimes hard to know where to turn while walking through a city you don’t know. Driving would be a distraction if restaurants and businesses keep popping up as it takes your eyes off the road.

Techtrini, 12 Feb 2019This is the most useless and most waste of time app because... moreBattery life is actually getting better, we didn't notice that because the increase is marginal every year, so people with older smartphone will notice right away when upgrading, but those with yearly upgrade cycle won't really notice at all.
The marginal increase is manufacturer to blame, they leverage the extra efficiency of the chip to allocate power consumption in other thing and people now use their phone different than before. Remember the day when constantly turning mobile data on will drain a phone battery, let alone leaving GPS in high accuracy constantly. But now, we expect the phone to constantly connected to mobile data whenever there's no wifi and GPS constantly, not to mention we use our phone more frequent than before.

This is the most useless and most waste of time app because you are giving u something that uses even more power. Technology when comes to certain things are failing just like the phone trends because all these years and still no battery improvement they keep saying the chips are more power efficient but in reality it’s basically the same usage you really been getting on a day to day use every year it’s improved and yet no phone last a good two days with heavy uses. Don’t see the point of this feat it’s useless just like AR WHEN IT WAS ANNOUNCED GIVE ME A BETTER BATTERY. Functionality has been great for over the past years camera etc what about battery oh I get it they won’t because that will make them lose sales ppl have already started to not upgrade or buy phones every year it’s only the ppl who and dead slow and stupid blind can’t see that what does any new phone do differently that you use your phone for mostly on a day to day basis nothing new calls video take pics play game listen to music are main things u do nothing more....

                Nice

The battery will die faster using so often the camera and the GPS. Then for what? For fun mostly because a stressed person to find a right place would bump into others hurting himself and others and dropping the phone.

This is really nice feature. I have seen such solutions in Mercedes Benz navigation app (probably Here maps) and it really has advantages on circle crosses. It will be great if it works same way on Google maps.
Definitely they aim in its marketing potential, but for me car navigation is more important (I travel a lot abroad).

If this become a thing, i can see advertising potential in it, like restaurants sign pop from the side while navigating.

This could be useful for all types of navigation, both in the car and out of it
