Huawei P30 Pro will have a quad rear camera, CEO confirms through sample

19 February 2019
What gives it away is the watermark that Chinese companies love to apply to shots taken with their phones.

P20 pro and Mate20 were about 800 euro when released? So P30 pro will also be 800-900 euro probably... I mean, that's not much cheaper than S10... What happened to cheap Chinese brands?

Yes thats possible with manuel camera setting or some uses them as pro mod, I own a Nokia Lumia1020 41mp(owned 808 too) yes huawei p20 pro can take this kind of shots too but we all need good angles and a good stabilizer fot the phone.....which mounbtain-which country which season....which wheather these are the facts too....

IpsDisplay, 20 Feb 2019This is blatant disrespect to progress and potential no mat... moreWow, never thought someone could be so touchy about a phone feature criticism. It's not like criticisms don't happen all the time in gsmarena so you must be new here. If you consider criticisms to smartphone manufacturers business and/or design directions and decisions as 'blatant disrespect to progress', then you definitely do not have any idea what progress is.

If users here didn't blatantly criticize the small battery capacities in flagships and the anorexic designs perpetuated by phone manufacturers for the longest time for the sole purpose of making phones more and more anorexic at the expense of faster battery wear and poor battery life, we wouldn't have 4000mAh and higher battery capacities in iconic flagships like the regular models of the Samsung S series or Note series. If there were no strong, blatant criticisms against Apple's iphone X notch, the removal of micro sd cards and headphone jacks as standard features, all phones would already have done it and Samsung would not have brought back the micro sd card despite Google and Apple calling the absence of headphone jacks and micro sd card slots as 'Progress' and 'the Future'.

The pic is out of focus but still impressive for a smartphone to be able to capture it without turning it into white blob

            Future news on GSMarena:
Huawei found to use a fake photo for its P30 pro ad; the photo was actually taken with a DSLR.

I don’t really use telephoto sensors in my daily life I prefer wide angle camera but yeah good that huawei is trying to new things in zoom department but I still think they should first improve their 4K video recording stabilization and front camera pictures and also slow motion videos, I am not as excited for this year Huawei P30 pro compare to last year huawei P20 pro

Did anyone else notice, that, the moon is Not in Focus?

I wish this is 20x digital zoom, not 10x hybrid one that many people have been hyping up on. The moon looks fine on a small smartphone display, but as soon as you see it on a laptop or desktop you will start noticing flaws right away. Still, fairly impressive for a smartphone camera.

And just because thinking is hard or that it takes more effort we get comments like this...

Yesterday I went to read up on an old Nokia Eos leak and in the comments people bashed 1080p screens and octa core processors saying they were gimmicks just to show off numbers which is standard today

I bet this will be the case for zoom lenses

After the proliferation of secondary ultrawide cameras in the latest flagships, long telephoto cameras (10x, 20x) will be the next 'in thing' in smartphones, simply because the Facebook crowd likes to brag about how much zoom their smartphone has never mind if the moon photos look absolutely horrible viewed in a large 4K UHD monitor.

[deleted post]You should go to watch the online video called 'Gary Explains : Is your smartphone spying on you?'

If HUAWEI really did that, with America's advanced technology, they would have found that already.

That’s how I see it anyway.

[deleted post]Friendly reminder that your saviour the US government isn't any better than China. All countries conduct some form of spying, so why is China such a big deal just because USA is crying about it?

related to the actual post: the 'weird attempt at blurring' can't be anything but intentional. It's this news post that weirdly phrases this.

Detail is absolutely horrible for a moon pic but for a smartphone camera to get a moon photo this up close without any external lens attachments, albeit blotchy, it still deserves credit. Not many smartphones can claim to capture the moon with semblance of detail like in this shot. Most just end up as a messed up white blob which isn't even good enough for Facebook posting (lunar eclipse photos, anyone?).
