The screen on the fold has much more survivability.
Also, I'm skeptical about the uneven depth in tablet mode on Mate X. I'm talking about grip obviously. It would be hard to use it for a longer duration. Uneven weight distribution isn't a light thing to worry about.

Mate x amazing design, protecting screens is a concern, they showed a case thogh
Galaxy Fold has better protection due to design but at the same time is smaller outer screen looks outdated and smaller
Samsung has a lot to do to improve their design for future iterations of the Fold, but good for the consumer we still have to LG's and Xiaomi's

Galaxy Fold - ... moreWell they are also selling the full-protection case, and Galaxy Fold has a gap where things can get inside which means it's not completely immune to scratching either. Displays on both Mate X and Galaxy Fold are made out of plastic so they'll get scratched up much more easily than an average glass screen anyway. Unless someone invents bendable glass foldable phones will never be practical.

Galaxy fold much better. If you break the screen in this, RIP. Its very vulnerable. And galaxy fold has UFS3.0 storage, 12 GB RAM.

2300€ hahaha for this stupid handset with screen exposed. I prefer more galaxy fold which when folded is more secure with the screen

Looks better than the Fold, in a way
Plus screen size once it's folded still pretty decent
On the Fold you have to deal with a 4.6' screen
Plus there's no notch, folded or not

Mate X - An elegant but impractical design.
Galaxy Fold - Not that attractive but practical design.
Mate X is unusable in tablet mode.
Good luck with protecting it too.
