Crytek, 27 Feb 2019i don't understand what is the definition of flagship for p... moreThe Pocophone F1 isn't a flagship to begin with ...its a budget phone with flagship specs but people keep mixing it up and saying its a flagship phone with budget specs (like the camera, build, etc).
As for why people call it a flagship killer; its just because it houses flag ship internals for a MUCH cheaper price compared to its more reputable competitors; that's it!

Software still needs optimization and a good amount of bug fixes, certain features that should be working with the phone globally should have been there or enabled from the get-go and I wish the phone had louder stereo speakers sometimes or a better camera sensor.

However, at least we still get updates to the phone's software quickly enough with responsive feedback (at least for the beta builds of the OS), the RAM management and fluidity of the OS is great on it even if it comes out-the-box with 6GB and a SD845 for a little over $300. The camera app is for the most part ...OK but with the google camera mod its great/ more than just passable. The stereo speakers may not be as loud as I'd like but there are stereo speakers on this budget phone and they are decent for the most part as sounds are clear enough and distinct (just don't expect much in a slightly noisy environment). The audio experience through the headphones ain't perfect but I can guarantee you that they are better than you'd expect. The only REAL issue with the phone is the LTE band support; considering the phone was meant for India only and they decided to sell to the European market and Not directly to the USA market I can sort of understand why the phone would have lets range with bands.

The 1080p screen is pretty good even though it is IPS Full HD; its no 2k resolution and the blacks are not as black as your Amoled screens BUT it gets reasonably bright, the resolution difference between 1080p and 1440p are almost negligible at that screen size. The cost to replace a screen if it gets cracked is LOADS cheaper than Amoled and since it ain't water resistant repair wouldn't make it lose a feature. The screen isn't HDR compliant much like the S8 and up but it does support HDR natively as it can be used in watching youtube videos (again something I tested for myself and it really does look good on the screen) and Now has widevine L1 certification for all those Netflix HD users.

Let's not forget that apart from the headphone jack including in the phone and not in the box, it has Micro-SD expansion and the option to rock dual-sims if you travel a lot. Also, its been confirmed with Xiaomi Global that the Pocophone F1 will have software updates for 2 generations (aka up to Android Q) and if you're on a beta build updates are every Friday (samsung should really take notes from them).

Overall the Pocophone F1 is basically a budget flagship and not a flagship on a budget as I said previously and if you can deal with the compromises the phone comes with for that price then by all means go for it but for the price its an amazing budget flagship esp. with the increasing prices of ALL flagship devices (even our esteemed OnePlus).
If it wasn't clear by now I'm a Pocophone F1 User freshly coming over from a galaxy S8 (I gave up trying to repair because its too expensive so for the cost of the repair I got a Pocophone instead)

That's great. In the meantime I'm on my Honor View 20 and can't get either Netflix or Amazon to work in HD even though Kirin 980 is officially supported to play HD video ;/

This is why I switch from OnePlus. Xiaomi was able to do it via an update, for such a cheap but good phone...

Crytek, 27 Feb 2019i don't understand what is the definition of flagship for p... moreYou can check all aspects...camera( comparable to i phone 8-as read here) , battery ( better than all iphones, samsung flagships), Sound( absolute bliss..aptx hd for bluetooth) , UI...buttery smooth, speed( master of speed in true sense ) , RAM management ( excellent), Mutli tasking ( piece of cake).

Been using poco F1 from past three months and I can say confidently that Poco f1 is a great phone and the amazing support/developer team that listens to it's customer and actually gives results makes it even better. kudos to Poco team for widevine L1. And it is idiotic to compare it with phones twice or thrice in price . It is a flagship killer in all sense. Poco F1 has done what one plus could not. Killer phone at an affordable price.

Crytek, 27 Feb 2019i don't understand what is the definition of flagship for p... moreCheap parts? As far As I know Xiaomi uses pretty good components. Qualcomm modems are cheap parts? Samsung and Sony cameras are cheap? Li-Polimer batteries are cheap? Of course they don't use top of the line camera for a 300$ product but. They use medium tier components for some of the parts to keep costs down but some of them are top components.
Do you realy know what components is beeing used in your Samsung or Apple flagship?
You'll be amazed to find out they use do use some cheaper components sometimes.

i don't understand what is the definition of flagship for people. it doesn't rely on Processor, not coz it has SD 845 you can call it flagship, check other specs too...
what's the point of a fast processor with cheap parts and tech?

you can call it flagship killer as many times as you want, but the fact it is not.

We Indians are so happy in this news. VIVA POCO LOCO. Xiaomi, keep releasing super cheap phones with flagship specs in the Indian market.

No crapware in the software like Clean Master in Xiaomi, McAfee and doubled apps in like Shamesung. Should have VR, AR, Widevine enabled etc. There is no true phone of the year in 2018. Should have been the Pixel but it's only 4GB RAM are a joke for that price and charging is super slow.
