Well Samsung is no Vertu and they will never been.
Huawei device looks like a 5 years ahead of Samsung.
And the concierge is exclusive to Vertu only.

this device is not something that you can get anywhere with a cheap price, for example lambos are not shown in commercial and also the Ferrari and that is because true buyers doesn't just critic objects they examine their uses and how it will help them

Was told yesterday by a Samsung Rep that the fold will include full warranty from the get go and also include any accidental damage with it being such a expensive device. Basically if any damage is incurred Samsung will replace the device like for like which is good considering the price, customers will also be given offers through the life of the phone and also given 'other perks' from Samsung direct.

Vertu-like services by Samsung. That was unexpected but believable since they are rich company anyway.

.alpha, 27 Feb 2019Huawei X can be used folded and unfolded. Samsung ask you t... moreThat's exactly what I'm saying. I don't know why people are acting like you'll be able to use that laughable front screen on the fold comfortably for more than 10 minutes. It's shaped like a remote, it's hella thicc and the bezels are unacceptably huge. It's a foldable tablet with a second screen. Mate X is a foldable PHONE.

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2019Samsung trying everything to get sales after they were outc... moreHuawei has just do bigger than Samsung but they failed, cause Samsung provided a solution to make a big device smaller as possible.

Here they just did a big device who can become another big one, so I prefer to spend 2k on Samsung where we pay for a real innovation.

concierge-like experience? Like what? The Galaxy Note phones are not that too far off in price, and they get what? During the battery fiasco, they are offered J series phones as temporary phones while getting replacement, not even an S series. That was quite an insult.

$1980 only? Apple display all their products to the masses. Even your own Laptops / TV goes for even more then 2k, and do not even get this treatment.

Is there something to hide? Is there something easily broken? A good gadget is one that can stand the abuse of the masses and still functional, less abit of cosmetic damage.
