s-pen pusher, 01 Mar 2019there are actually alot of android games that can go as hig... moreYes and no, games on mobile are locked to the refresh rate of the display, the vast majority of the displays run at 60Hz thus the fps is locked to 60, Razor 120Hz and thus 120fps. If you exceed the refresh rate of the display which is possible then you encounter screen tearing which is a pretty horrible experience, This is why there is adaptive sync on the PC and TV's are just coming out with it now, where the monitor frequency is adjusted to match that of the frame rate so you don't see the stutters as it drops below the refresh rate target and screen tearing as it exceeds the frames being rendered and what can be displayed in any given time. More frames means lower latency also since frames are not held in reserve or discarded as the GPU waits for the next update cycle from the display. As far as i am aware there are no mobile phones that support adaptive sync. However running games at 120fps mean the GPU is pushed much harder and thus increases more heat and greatly increases power consumption.

Anonymous, 28 Feb 2019..aaand which android games that support more than 60fps?there are actually alot of android games that can go as high as 120fps. frame rate is different from refresh rate, fyi. frame rate unit is fps while refresh rate is Hz. i won't go any further on the differences- it's for you to find out. anyway, i was talking about refresh rate when i said 120Hz on the razer phone. there are still only a few android games that support 120Hz refresh rate, but if you call a phone a gaming phone, it should have at least better refresh rate than the common 60Hz.

Anonymous, 27 Feb 2019It's so desperate that the blackshark skywalker edition doe... moreThe Helo version is what they needed to release initially. It's much more polished than the Version 1, and the removable dual-joysticks are actually pretty decent.
Hopefully, the BlackShark2 follows on from the Helo and not from Version 1. But I'm not too hopeful.

i hope they up the screen to at least 90Hz, then i would consider it over asus rog phone since it seems razer phone 3 will not be coming. the 120hz screens on my razer phones 1 and 2 gives me the upper hand in mobile games, and i am not even a serious gamer.

The Black Shark series is the only modern flagship phone that doesn't have a notch or punch holes. Hopefully it remains the case with this latest version.

It's so desperate that the blackshark skywalker edition doesn't have a symmetrical rear cameras unlike helo edition.
