Walter C. Dornez, 28 Feb 2019But like why though? What advantage would you gain?A lot of big international companies are switching from Microsoft to Google office solutions. Easymail(paid gmail) + Google apps can easily and in most of the cases replace Windows + Office. Phone + lapdock can be in many aspects cheaper than Laptop + Phone. You have one common device where you store your data. You have one device to manage in terms of RODO and Security. If some one stoles your Lapdock he will get no data since all is in your phone. Lapdock can be much lighter and cheeper. People like to use one device. You gat an accessory which enlarge your phone screen. GSM Market nowadays is very orientated on screen sizes(notches, punch holes, body to screen ratio, foldable phones). Android Q will probably have a desktop like solution built in in a system. Using larger screen is not an issue in the future of GSM.

Dorsefrith, 28 Feb 2019Huawei already did wireless desktop mode. Lapdoc solution i... moreBut like why though? What advantage would you gain?

Not-so-great battery life and lack of headphone jack killed it. It has a GORGEOUS display, powerful speakers, not too bad camera (especially when you install Gcam on it since the hardware is good), IP67, Wireless charging, 8 GB of RAM, and a microSD slot so overall, it's a great phone; just plagued by a dismal battery life. Maybe Pie will make it better.

If only GSMArena can run the battery tests now to see how much improved it has become.

I'm also with one commenter below me, I really hope the first Razer phone gets this update too considering the software from the 2nd phone is not much different from the first.

Lapdoc solution is perfect in terms of business needs. Definitely it is not for a common users. Samsung is promoting it's dex as a business solution already, there are companies which use galaxy tab S4 as a main computer. You can connect it to external monitor and work as on a all-in-one PC or chromebook. For me Lapdoc is a next lvl of business mobility.

What about RP1?? No updates, no nothing

Again my words were prophetic. No Linda no deal. They were laughing from this on Razer forum now I laugh from them and also I cry since it really had a potential. I hope that soone some company which have android Desktop experience(Samsung, Huawei?) will do a phone with "lapdock"

Razor fired the entire mobile team. So they are stopping the production. This is prolly the last phone. So dropping price for "limited time" is a joke!
