      Alien, 01 Mar 2019Ummm, you don't need no update from Samsung to disable Bixb... moreYup. And you should mention that people needs to (temporarily) enable usb-debugging, first. And that there are few more bixby packages with more obscure names

      ADB shell pm disable-user com.samsung.android.visionintelligence
      ADB shell pm disable-user com.samsung.android.app.spage

      And that due to a completely crazy thing disabling does not STOP them (yes!!)
      We need to do that manually by repeating all the above commands and replace 'pm disable-user' with 'am force-stop' .

      Cumbersome but possible...

          I wish they could've done it a little bit sooner, but nonetheless great decision by Samsung. This shows that not only they make top-notch flagships every year but also they are also listening to customers and making necessary changes to their products.

            Ummm, you don't need no update from Samsung to disable Bixby. Just install adb on your pc and type:

            adb shell pm list packages - e | grep bixby

            (this will look for all enabled packages that contain the name bixby. I believe there's one more bixby app that doesn't have the name in it. You'll have to find that one too.

            To disable:

            adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.package.example

            (replace com.package.example with the results from the first command. one by one, not all at once :) )

            Done! :)

            To enable back:

            adb shell pm enable --user 0 com.package.example

            Just use your brain people!

              But you can not select Google Assistant. It is hidden in the app selection screen.

All you need to do is thrown your s6 edge to the brick wall as hard as you can.. It will definitely disable it forever.

                      I hope Google and his partner do the same thing. A music / video key or camera button, BB Hub button are more useful than dedicated google assistance anyways.

                                    If you go in settings, apps and then open all bixby apps, find memory and selecet clear data + clear cache. It will reset bixby like its new device, after that only long press turns bixby.
