That's how good it is and the only reason why Android is everywhere is because of the massive advertising that lies and fools the public. Go try a Nokia Belle smartphone and you'll know what a true smartphone is supposed to be. I will never touch an Android toy even with a 10 foot poIe.

This mean it can be update to ICS after all, just that they want u to buy new handset that all, hey how about newly launch Galaxy W & S+ ? then again Samsung just said look into it doesn't mean they will update it.

I bought two expensiv... moreI have a n97 and its realy a fail, too laggy, slow(most coz of the low processor), but still, s^3 was a brand new version of symbian, specially designed for smartphones, n97 fails was a lack of a gpu, it cant even play 3d games, thats the reason, for not updating it, and symbian S40 != Symbian s^3, its like ask Galaxy S to boot maemo or tizen

symbian would be better for these phones when they update, android is not good for these 2 cause they cant power up.

Problem is, they were both sold as high-end but didn't have the specs to match, so couldn't upgrade (though CFW creators say otherwise =D)

AnonD-34845, 27 Dec 2011Nokia doesn't know the word called "UPDATE"I was once a Victim of Nokia UPDATE.
I bought two expensive Nokia phones Q2, last year, N97 and X6 32Gig.
Months later, Nokia Released symbian S^3. I was shocked to find out that my two high end Nokia phones would not be updated to Symbian S^3. Nokia did not even bother to say anything about it.
Samsung has really tried for Galaxy S, but they still need to provide ICS because of its large sales volume. Galaxy S has has already received 2 Os upgrades since launch.
Eclair to Froyo and Froyo to Gingerbread. Galaxy S is one of the few phones presently running Gingerbread 2.3.6.

Now tell me, Has Nokia has ever pushed 2 Different OS upgrades to any of its phones since its existence as a company? The answer is NO

That's starting to be sort of a cliche. First a manufacturer announces it won't support it's old phones, then everyone gets mad and then they turn the tables.

if they say that u cant update becuz of Touch Wiz 3
dont put TouchWiz 3 a lot of ppl dont care about it anyway...
look at the Cyongenmod no TouchWiz pure ICS and works great..
the big companies should learn from the Small Developers..

Saamsung seems to ignore what people want as I have struggled to cope with their own problems. If their own devices seems to support it and they just wont try to improve the functionality of the device itself. Hope samsung has the ability to extend the life of their own product and I was thinking of switching to another brand because of the dissatisfaction of their support. Good luck everyone who has Sammy's products.
