Tim Cook says Apple is “rolling the dice” on products that will “blow you away”

01 March 2019
There was vague mention of future AirPods and Apple Watch products, but that's about it.

I hope they do indeed blow us away. It's always great to have multiple competent and competitive products in the market.

Nobody expects Apple to be a charity, but Tax Evasion is criminal greed!, they had to pay $15.3 billion that it owed from between 2003 and 2014 - plus interest.

That's why I dislike the company.

Apple can only blow me away if they actually price their products for what they are worth.

Hahaaaaaaaa funniest joke of the year. Apple tries to blow us away hahaaaaaaaaaaaaa omfg funniest thing I could ever hear.
Well done dirt try to catch up 5 years of innovation gap to Android manufacturers then talk about blowing us away.

I guess the best thing Apple can do it to replace Tim with someone whose in tune with what's happening in the world and someone who isn't on another planet.

And innovate and correct prices while he is at it. Instead of removing headphone Jacks, create the lightning cable, have 720p resolution screens, terrible mono recording sound, terribly small battery, have unacceptable protruducing camera bumbs, have that terrible notch, have no quick chatter in the box and no accessory worth its name free either, price all accessories as high as the phone, try and sue everyone else so that you have a side business using competitors, go downhill where Innovation is concerned etc.

Bye Tim. Apple needs a change. I am sure Steve Jobs would agree.

They stopped innovating in the 90's the iPod was a version of something that existed already they just did it better the rest is history copy and pasted history but history none the less, they used to use new materials and push the limits with it now everything is an aluminum unibody in gold, pink or silver, they overly focus on software to make the lack in hardware keep up.

"blow us away" with the price tag of non innovational and copy cat product.

When you try to get folk to think seriuosly for a few minutes about the history of flopple and the myth that it is an "innovator", few can actualy think of anything that wasn't already available elsewhere, having been innovated by others first, flopple may have then made some more popular, but I cannot think of one supposed innovation that fan boys can point to and say flopple did it first, I take a keen interest in mobile devices, and have usually been an early adopter, (if wallet allows) since the very early days of "mobile" phones, I had my first Motorola full brick in 1993,if I remember correctly, then Siemens analogue types that had biggest displays then available, then on to digital and my introduction to xda(later htc) a few years later, have basicaly used xda/htc phones ever since until last year, all bought second hand or outright from networks, my first and only contract phone was the mighty HTC HD2, because I wanted one so badly and you just could not get one for love or money unless got on contract, now if you want to talk about a firm that has truly innovated, htc have plenty to shout about, possibly about to go bankrupt, but introduced so much to the mobile world, while always being a small company..You notice no flopple fan boys have bothered to answer my comment with anything at all !!

YoloBS, 02 Mar 2019A hope they gonna release a good compact phone with 16:9 so... moreYep, there's clearly a lack of decent specced compact phones & the OEM's seem to be drifting further away from 16:9 to 21:9 becoming too tall & slim like a remote control, fine they can make those but don't stop 16:9, especially in compacts.

IMO screen aspect ratio should be (but narrower available for those who want it, I don't):
