Huaweis new watch has crazy battery life

Huawei is beating Samsung in every category slowly

jtrogr, 07 Mar 2019Why do people think that they are so important that someone... moreWrong direction of thought.

It is clear that you (and most people, including myself) are biased and undervalue their own data. A simple example, your mobile number to you is just a combination of ten digits, but to the right telemarketer, your number could be worth thousands of dollars.

Same goes with your messages, photos and other personal data revealing information. There are entire companies built on this premise, Google being the most recognized of those. Even something as mere as a cookie in your web browser can reveal what product you buy frequently and gives companies new avenues to market their products for you.

Think if I had access to all(or most) your messages, your photos, your calendar, your alarms. I could probably draw a personality chart about you. I could learn about your behaviour. In the best case scenario, I could get you to purchase a product by marketing in the right place at the right time.

In the worst case scenario, I could easily manipulate you. Mislead you. Thre@ten your family if you do not comply. Probably change your political preferences, make you join a cult or a terr0r!st organization by driving you in the wrong direction.

This is just me thinking on the spot, sitting behind a keyboard. Now imagine if there are entire think-tanks dedicated to this operation by various governments. A dozen smart programmers dedicated to exploiting your personal information to "handle" you.

Make no doubt, the consequences are dire, and you are right in their line of fire. Even though I do not know you personally, I strongly advise: Be *extremely* cautious with your data. Even the seemingly insignificant data.

Adul Al Salami Kebab, 07 Mar 2019I think they rather trust the Chinese with their data rathe... morePersonally, I would not trust anyone with my data! Unfortunately, the times we live in, there is only so much I can protect.

jtrogr, 07 Mar 2019Why do people think that they are so important that someone... moreSame case was with Facebook last year, is not pictures, its data, and thats normal, every app even use our data. If you don't want to someone collect your data in servers around world, don't use Android phone, dpn't use Desktop PC (with Win 10 and they great telemetry), or.. If you wanna to think that you're save, try Apple (but it's a similar, just another servers collecting)..

Just look at this.. hMD phones (in some part of the world known like "Nokia"). In all phones they use launcher3, it looks (almost) like stock UI, right? But guess what, if you visit xda developers site, you will se that lot of users have found in their (HMD - androidone or whathever) phones that there is couple of hidden apps that sents stuff to servers, but this time, those server are located at China (Foxconn)..
If someone want to be " safe" only feature phones, without any smart os, or internet conection are good :D

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2019I don't understand why the Apple Watch sells so well. It is... moreHuawei GT lacking evwn more, but yes it looks good is not that expensive (about 150 euros, or you get free watch if you buy Mate20).. But battery life in Watch GT is amazing, really.. (10+ days with normal usage). Another good watch grom Huawei is (sub-brand) Honor magic watch (about 10 euros only, or free if you buy Honor View20), yes battery is not good as GT (but still 7+ days), but its a smaller 1.3" OLED also.

I don't understand why the Apple Watch sells so well. It is absolutely hideous, in my opinion. Have a Samsung Gear S3 Frontier myself which looks significantly smarter. However, my next watch will be a Huawei, since I feel Tizen is a little lacking in features.

Why do people think that they are so important that someone invests billions to see their unimportant pictures, messages or whatever?

                    Ticwatch E is amazing!!!

                      Go xiaomi!

In spite of the spying debate, Huawei is killing it!

Either most people believe that Huawei is not spying for their government, or people are too lax with their privacy.

                        The second scenario is worrying.

Loving my Series 4 since day 1.
