It's pretty obvious Apple intends to poach Qualcomm talent. Whatever the case, QC had it coming with the absurd price gouging it's pulling over every smartphone manufacturer in existence. We need more companies designing their own silicon.

But i can easily imagibne if the apple production moves from Foxconn in Zhengzhou in China to the USA even the old apple 3GS would cost 2-3000 dollars per piece.
So new apple phones would start at the prices of 10k+ just because the difference between chinese labourer salary and USA labourer salary.

people are taking for granted modem capabilites... but thats the most sofisticated part in the SoC.

And factor in the pay gap..
they must be getting a good tax deal to make this work.. or the price will be over 2k for the 'cheap' one

Apple: hey you battery producer gimme batteries for half rate.
Asian Battery producer: No man we invested so much into this technology and our profit margins are only 5%.
Apple -> New battery indicator patent to patents office -> what does it do ? it indicates when battery is charging -> GENIUSSS.
Apple sues other companies using battery indicators -> wtf man it is clearly patent troll.
US Patent thrown out in other countries. other companies banned in US.
Apple to Govt, hey man we made some 200Billion overseas we bring it in and we don't want to pay taxes, we employ 200 workers in our new battery factory, oh and we buy our own stock with the money.

I would expect being negative on everything good and bad from a grumpy teenager and not from a grown man twice the age. Whatever floats your boat

So the foldable apple should be real.
1200 jobs within USA where people earn 10-15 USD per hour interesting.
So new bunch of apple phones will start at 1200 bucks per phone the cheapest one.
Just to find enough money for salary for new people and other expenses apple will have with hiring them.

I don't like huawei but the US ban will only benefit apple. Now they want to add more jobs in the US. It's clear apple wants to control the US market as much as possible because China and India have moved on.
