For RN7, we have so far only seen China launch and India launch, with minor spec and pricing difference. We have not yet seen a global launch for RN7. The rollout in Europe will likely be country specific, with different specs and potentially very large difference in pricing, just like Xiaomi Mi9 rollout in Europe.

For Indian market, Xiaomi has replaced 48MP (Samsung) with 12MP so that they can price it below the magic 10000 INR mark, which leaves room for more aggressive pricing for Redmi Note 7 pro. It is RN7Pro that will be in greater market demand, but RN7 has to be there to cover the lower end.

Just look at all the youtube videos coming online within the past few days, covering all aspects of Redmi Note 7 Pro. Indian smartphone buyers are certainly among the most discriminating and tech savvy.

They've been marketing a 48/5 MP primary camera globally but launched a 12/2 MP one in India? Why would Redmi do that? Do specifications not matter?

Huwai has p20 and mate 20 out of stock in minutes...only overpriced samsung and apple are loosers..look at any site they all say mate20 pro is best phone of 2018...no more apple and samsung, Huawei has pushed battery to 4000mah in flagship but useless lg and sony are at 3000mah... smart phones have evolved..in usa average mobile data per month is 5 gb per user. India it is 30gb, oops 30 gb costs 2 dollars only..people can say indians buy cheap phone but what do they say about 60gb per month costs less than 3 dollars, let them keep barking at xiomi and Huawei , let it be never bothered ..because of xiomi and oppo most indians will have 16 to 48MP cam phones as well as 5g networking while world sits with 3g and 5 mp phones.

I'm getting a Redmi Note 7 Pro global, but I actually prefer the colours on the India version. I'd rather have the lighter blue of the India version to the darker transition blue on the Pro model. Shame it's not an option.

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2019Xiaomi did it in UK apparently they was only 12 devices Xiaomi is and always will be a lot better brand than Samsung or Sony all due to much lover prices compared to specs.
In case of Sony or Samsung you pay for a sticker of brand.
But brand name doesnt means anything special. It just adds price for equaly same device which xiaomi can sell for 20-50% less price.

                            Price is all that matters.
Please do understand that higher price doesnt means more features or increased quality.
                            Sometimes you pay for brand.
M10 by Samsung in India cost 126 euros and M20 is around 145 euros. But in europe starting price of both phones is around 200 bucks.

Imagine Samsung or Sony selling this good.
This will never happen as they greatly overprice their devices.
