this is where i would say my final goodbye to apple with XR being my last apple iphone after since using 3gs, 4,4s, 5 ,6,6s, 6splus,7 plus and 8 plus. i would never buy a 'made in india' iphone with a hella ridiculous pricing. Never and innovations is gone with the wind.

I am not sure if this will help. Even under the make in India idea, Apple as a company has a very high premium mark up to cover their profits. This is where they will loose customers in future. Currently the percentage of population with income and willingness to splurge is relatively very low to the population in that bracket you will get in the future. You cant expect people to jump on the Apple bandwagon in the future like the flip of a switch. Its the chinese OEMs and manufacturers who are capturing these upcoming 'poor people' who are becoming rich gradually who will profit. They are ingraining these people with their brand, they cost/feature ratio, their marketing, their UI and options. Once people get used to a certain UI, layout and way-to-operate their phones, my guess they do not want to leave their comfort zone and move to other providers. Also, Apple's selling point of 'privacy' doesnt sell here. Privacy is a luxury you can afford when you are well fed. People here are more concerned in how to come up in life, earn more than their counterpart, make more money, stay relevant than bother etc. They willingly give away so much of their data to the chinese apps, FB, google et al. Also, since people are short on money due to previous stated reasons, they prefer to pay once and finish the deal. So, the business model of Apple providing services at monthly charges (this is prevalent in a lot of Apple services) and having to pay for most apps available freely on Android, will push people away from Apple.

Apple cannot win Indian hearts without giving actual comparable prices in Indian market.
Take an example of iPhone 6s, this is currently made in India and is sold for ₹ 29k, if you compare same iPhone 6s in US, it's being sold for $199 which is approximately ₹ 14k. Which means the iPhone which is made in China, sold in US is twice as cheap as the same smartphone made and sold entirely in India.
Furthermore, the iPhone's price is nowhere comparable when you consider per-capita income vs smartphone price graph in other countries(even including developing countries like Brazil)
So, Apple is definitely lacking to realize it's mistake to understand what it takes to tap Indian Smartphone markets. What Apple doesn't realize is, there is a huge potential to turn around their declining Y-O-Y iPhone sales into biggest gain in Y-O-Y sales by just realizing the need of the country.

Flopple will probably sell Indian made hardware at lower profit margin, they have no new outstanding hardware to be released in the next 2-3 years and are moving over to a position of being a service lead company instead of hardware providing so much of their profit, so indians should be wary of buying in to the flopple walled garden set up, once you have much music photos etc bought/stored through flopple, they have you by the balls, yes, there are ways of transferring stuff out of flopple accounts, but they don't want to make it to easy for folk to leave the system, so be prepared to pay money every year to access music and YOUR photos etc, the longer you stay and the more you spend with flopple, the less likely you are to leave, flopple will sell hardware more cheaply in India as bait for the lifetime subscription and fees trap that they will new Indian customers in..

Why need to say 'high-end'? As if there are any low end iphone.

When I read this, I truly hope that iPhone would be cheaper than before which Steve Jobs hate to make a cheap phones. I also hope that the quality of iPhone is not to be sacrificed.

AAPL does not any value proposition for customers of BHARAT.
Nor does it have any substantial edge over rival products.

Apple maps app just does not work in BHARAT.
Compare with Android based mapping apps and see for yourselves how worse off Apple software is !!

Many Apple based applications are simply outdated as compared to comparable android based apps !!

App!e needs to come in terms with this reality.

with a 40% cost-savings for the Indian customer...
Do you mean 40% cost-savings for Apple. Are they really passing the benefits of “Make in India” to end customers? Last year, during 'Diwali Sale' they were selling 4 year old base model of iPhone 6S (32 GB), (not iPhone 6S plus) for $400. This was suppose to be “Make in India” product. 64GB onwards models are hardly available here. Still, iPhone 7 costs over $550 in India. iPhone SE and iPhone 6S are already discontinued. Even if they manufacture new models from iPhone 8 onwards in India, will they really lower the price or just increase their profit margins!
