Especially amoled usage only on one side making it wear off faster than the other side. Scratches....well, maybe Corning would had invented something by 2020 for foldables. As for this patent, Samsung did wanted to do this way before, even to the extend had it patented last year. Nothing strange here. Its not like its patented a few days in a hurry after Mate X was announced. -_- Huawei fanboys sure know how to make stories. Where is that Mate X of yours coming along? No news anymore.

      Why would Samsung do this because according to Samsung boys this is very bad design :D

      It looks like they wanted to do this, but had to go with the Fold because the product wasn't ready and then Huawei stole the spotlight and now they are hurry to make something which looks like Mate X.

        From my point of view, this patent more likely is about the fold mechanical structure. Sometime you doesn't need to make a thing to apply patent. A patent can stop your competitor from making the same fold mechanical structure.

So, its not ... moreYou're so right, Huawei only started making their X after Oct 18 and Samsung never knows what their competitors are making and only found out about X design recently when Huawei showcased it... thanks for clearing that up.
