HTC phones are the best and greatest phone ever to me, my parent, sisters and brothers we all love the company, because of that love i gave HTC this meaning even before i research and know the meaning i gave it (Highest Technology and Communication)
And i think the reason why some people look down on HTC phones this days is because they don't know more about the phone, so in this case HTC need to keep advertising their products in the whole world especially in African countries.I want HTC to be the best, great and the must greatest phone in the whole world.
I wish one day i will be in HTC company so that i will share my idea whit them but i have no way to be there ,the ideas that has been in my mind for a long time and till date on phone has ever come up with something like that, My dream in life is just to deliver it to this wonderful company. Wish you all possible best in 2019 HTCu13,I hope you will appreciate.
Thank you for reading i pray that this advice will reach to HTC company .

The.Chosen-One, 13 Mar 2019I don't see the reason behind that though. HTC devices are ... morePricing also, the U Ultra had a 3000mAh battery in a body larger than many other flagships but they were able to include larger batteries. The U11 was better. My favourite HTC phones of the past few years are the One M7, M8 and A9. Also, HTC need to focus on the under £200 range, Nokia excelled back in 2013 even with an inferior OS.

AnonD-819322, 12 Mar 2019That's nice to know as HTC is becoming uncommon now.I don't see the reason behind that though. HTC devices are still top quality as they have always been. I think it's a marketing thing...

Y don't they just scrap the Android Pie to save some money and jump straight to Android Q?

Anal, 12 Mar 2019HTC should bring back the One X and One S branding. Sounds ... moreDefinitely should bring the ONE branding back.

Whackcar, 12 Mar 2019I get what you mean, but the M9 was a mediocre phone. It's ... moreOh, agreed. Their software is awesome, they just need to add some cool stuff, and they gotta price reasonably. They could be a threat to OnePlus if they add those speakers and waterproofing at that price range

Anonymous, 12 Mar 2019I agree wholeheartedly. Problem is that there are too many ... moreBut the future points more in the direction of Micromax, Lava, Karbonn and other brands in other countries manufacturing their crap phones under HTC brand. And that is what you'll get around the world, less, perhaps one or two local original models from HTC only available Taiwan and perhaps, online.

Whackcar, 12 Mar 2019Hopefully HTC U13+ will be better than HTC U12+. U11 was de... moreI agree wholeheartedly. Problem is that there are too many glass sandwich consumers for HTC to bounce back with it but making it a midranger with the SnapDragon 725 (I think is what it's called), 5.3", headphone jack with H/K DAC, Dual cam rear, 1080p display, and 3,800 mAH battery and global bands would set that device WAY ahead of the others.

U13+ could virtually be the U12+ (although I prefer 16:9 ratio myself) with a brighter display (I'd suffice for OLED), 4,500 mAH battery (they have to beat out the competition), SnapDragon 855 with the X50 chip which should include global bands, Dual SIM WITH dedicated microSD card slot, QuickCharge 4, Type C 3.2, wireless charging, Triple cam (or even astral cam with primary, telephoto, wide-angle, monochrome, AND TOF sensor; I don't use all of them but people would be attracted to a versatile camera since HTC is actually really good at photography), and even IR blaster to round it up and priced right. Only dreaming though. Lol

Walter C. Dornez, 12 Mar 2019Wouldn't that technically be a successor to the One M9? I get what you mean, but the M9 was a mediocre phone. It's camera was average at best & it also had a poor battery endurance. HTC 10 was much better in both regards but had a hybrid stereo speaker setup (front + bottom).

I guess HTC One (M8) was the most perfect phone HTC made in the last 5 years, so i want to see HTC do something like that again.

U12+ is great for photos, videos, music , fast performance, nice UI, nice design.

You can watch the tear-down. U12+ was definitly a step in the right direction. Inside everything is extremely well organized, they even got a taptic engine, when most of the android phones still rely on the circular vibration motor (including the fresh S10). Yes, the phone has it's flaws, but software ain't one of them. I'm not really sure what Pie will bring, as most of our experience is derived not from the android version it's running, but rather from its skin version, we are talking Sense here. You can get android 9 with the same Sense, and then the visual and functionality changes would be close to nothing.

                                  What about U11 eye?

Damn, it's been a while since I've stumbled upon an article about HTC, but that reminds me of how their smartphone sales are going down the drain sadly. Nonetheless, it's great to see that they're updating their past high-end flagships to ANDROID PIE, though that is expected since there's a contract as to how many years of updates a brand should provide

HTC should bring back the One X and One S branding. Sounds much better than all this U stuff. That is if they are even releasing a phone this year.
