I've had free Google Music for 2.5 months now with my Pixel. It's pretty good. Feels a bit like a Beta app in many ways. Like I can't stream my own downloaded music to smart speakers, but I can search and play the same music. Google only wants you to use their version of albums and songs. Very Apple of them. That's the only big frustration so far.
