That is illegal in Germany as well. They are probably only unlocking this for certain regions.

In Denmark its legal to warn about it.
We have som different company's selling this service with a little thing to put in ur car, there we have 2 buttons to press, one for traffic trap, the other for accident, car queue and other things worth to warn about. https://saphe.dk/ .
In Denmark we see it as it prevent car accident etc. because people start thinking more on how fast we drive, because of all the beep sounds it gives.

Er, someone had better point out to Google that its a criminal offence to warn others about speed traps here in the UK !!!
People have been successfuly prosecuted for doing so..
Google is not exactly popular with many governments at the moment, including the UK's, if Google release this as usable in the uk, I can guarantee, the UK gov will take action against them and just puts folks back up against Google, which is very likely to lead to changes in tax laws, which will cost Google etc much,much more tax in the future...
