This is smart. Those cut-out wallpapers were supposed to mock Samsung's design and now, they turn it into a marketing point.

ihco, 15 Mar 201910-20 minutes of photoshop, paying less than 99cent sounds ... moreyeah but when you get hang of it needed time significantly reduces plus you gota make what you want!
also it is far more educational and fun to do!(you can do one when you wait for an dental appointment or so!)

Anonymous, 15 Mar 2019Samsung's cut-out brings more dead zone than a normal notch... moreYou can't hide the notch on an iphone. I admit there are better notch like waterdrop notch. You turn it off it gives slim forehead. Though, why you even buy a notched phone in the first place if you hate it? More dead pixel is more battery saving especially for amoled. Its 19:9 ratio anyway so the black bar if you switch off the notch really just turn your phone to a regular 18:9 ratio. Of course the camera corner unusable just like any middle notch. The centre is equally unusable. -_-

So they admit that the cut-out is ugly (seriously ugly), and needs something to patch it...
The hole brings more distraction than a water drop notch. Specially when reading text.

The display area from the camera corner are literally unusable.

I have never understood how they can charge for wallpapers.. But has anyone thought of using the unused pixels around the o ring for notifications?
