This is how Xiaomi works afaik, this is the exact same reason every other phone used 625 in previous years

Would be great if it were 5.6-5.8 inches, minimal bezels, no notches. Don't care about the SoC. I have been using SD4xx chips all my life and don't have the use for anything more. What the market needs is a light, easy-to-hold and carry, one-handed phone. So a compact Poco without a notch would be ideal.

But even Redmi 7 be already 6 inch so there is no hope.
Something bezelless 5.5 inch screen phone even with sd660 would be great for something 170 euro range.
Now days when you want small phone they are only flagship or lite version of flagship that is still a bit expensive for the most of the market. I dont see 300 expensive but i am still buying under 200 phones only cause i dont need all the bling and what not the flagships have. Middle class hardware is ok for me with under 200 price that has ok camera and something minimum 3400mAh battery.

Redmi Note 7 is being sold for ~170€... Just for how do they expect to sell this if it has the same CPU?

LOL, another unnecessary phone with old SoC just like how they release any smartphone with SD625 before, maybe an excess SD660 stock due to the fact that the Mi Note 3 is a flop and the Redmi Note 7 is not selling well either.
