Like others has already pointed out. The ecosystem comparison is so massively flawed it's shocking. Why do the test in a non-Samung Android for the Samsung ones while you test the iPods on the iPhone?
Regarding your insistence that the bass response on the Galaxy Buds is bad, I would recommend anyone to read ANY other review. The tester here is either incompetent or doing wilfully biased review for either page clicks or cash in the pocket.

This must be the strangest comparisons. I doubt whether anyone else who has tried both of these came to such strange conclusions. One of the few times ai must disagree with the findings. Completely.

Smartphone brands can do whatever they want to remove the 3.5mm headphone jack, but that doesn't mean that I can't use wired headphones, because there's something called a dongle, to fix this problem. By the time I got my XPERIA XZ3, I'll be living the dongle life, never wireless (well maybe I'll use wireless if it's LDAC, but the fact that white noise is still present because of the connection between the headphone and the device, it pushes me back to using wired again xD)

Stack a few more dollars and you'll find yourself with a in-ear headphone that's far more superior in terms of sound quality, wired or wireless. Honestly, I wouldn't mind the larger size if it brings a major upgrade in sound quality, because that's the point of headphones, be it in-ear, on-ear, over-ear (u name it). As for these true wireless in-ear headphones, even if they're ultra portable, they fail to bring what's considered important for a headphone. Heck, I'd rather get a wired in-ear headphone or even a wireless one instead of these because they're not bigger by any means and and yet they sound better in the end, regardless of whether they have that Hi-Res Audio certification (by the way, there are a few in-ear headphones around this price segment that have Hi-Res Audio certification, like the Sony H.EAR in 2 wireless for example). I definitely like how the GALAXY BUDS have different sizes for the eartip as it's one of the factors that I consider when buying a in-ear headphone, it feels much more comfortable than not having one (looking at u AirPods). But as for the sound quality, especially the lack in bass, is a definite no no for me

Nothing beats wired sound. I agree that the air pods are more comfortable. but I prefer a wired connection.

I believe the In-ear detection sensor on galaxy buds is also optical. It was optical on the iconx 2018 (and it was horrible). Why else would they have that infrared window?

Comparing Galaxy Buds with Apple Airpods is like comparing turd with turd. They're both turd.

They both suck at delivering a satisfying music listening experience, so they both fail terribly at their primary task. That is all.

Thought the review was fair. Seems like people would be happy with either of these options. I have used the AirPods and they are kind of magical, friends have the galaxy buds and are really happy with them.
Do not understand the hate directed towards certain brands on this site. It is just a phone people, calm down.

AnonD-558092, 18 Mar 2019If they both fail at doing a satisfactory job in their main... moreYep, that's a bullseye... but regarding what GSMARENA mentioned is about A2DP what is FAIR but in reality other bluetooth devices are able to better use it without similar flaws. In a high-end market at this type of devices the best value/price IMO are Sony headsets.

For the average consumer, I guess both of them do the job good enough. I wouldn't pay a lot of money for those earpods tho. However, there are WAYYY better value earphones such as the Lenovo Air TWS, Xiaomi Airdots and Blitzwolf FYE2 which just means they are unsurprisingly overpriced (considering the branding).

AirPods got tested on iPhone. Galaxy Buds got tested on either a OnePlus, a Pixel or any other stupidly notched phone (look at the system bar at the top. Unnecessarily big. And the icons aren't placed to accommodate the selfie cam of the S10 series). This does affect the credibility of the test, since we can reasonably think that the outcome would not have been the same of the Buds were tested on the platform/device they were designed to work with, AKA Samsung software and the S10 series.

Either test both on the same phone, or on their designed platform (iOS and Samsung Experience/OneUI). This clearly shows a lack of rigor in the review.

if you want the best value for money wireless ( not truely wireless) , then in Hong Kong you can recently discontinued Astell and kern XB10 aptx hd reciever for around US$60 (HK$450) and a pair for sound magic E10C for around US$50, this will sound significant better even on standard bluetooth mode, imagine how much sound better on aptx hd mode, however, if you want a better upgrade, the award winning klipsch r6ii for extra US$25 more, this will sound significant better either airpods and galaxy bud

i bet prasad didn't bothered set up bluetooth 5 on his iphone for galaxy bud
