Samsung now has M10, M20, M30, A10, A20, A30, A40, A50, upcoming A60 as well, all in the 100-300 USD price bracket. Seriously, WHY?!?!?!????

The A5/A8 has the longest support with 2 major updates + teo years of security updates (the A5 2016 had Monthly updates for 3 years, and this is the 4th year, albeit now at a quarterly pace)

Personally, I really like this one. Finally, something smaller than all those phablets, springing up like mushrooms after the rain. Amoled, pocket-friendly, reasonably priced, looks nice, has all the basic stuff, etc. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be an appalling device. It just needs to be something a non-enthusiast would want. The brawl between the fans of different companies serves the companies, maybe, but us customers doubtfully. Everyone would like to hear an impartial opinion on this phone.
This, or the Mi 9 SE, which to me seems like a better device overall, albeit a more expensive one. At least, that's my choice. Are there any other compact phones on the market worth a look?

Can be a nice compact phone, as there are not many of them left. Xiaomi mi9se is ofc better for the price, but does not have a global version yet.
