Huawei Mate 30 could be the first phone with a 7nm EUV chipset - the Kirin 985

22 March 2019
The advantage of EUV is 20% higher transistor density. Huawei aims to become more indipendent with HiSilicon supplying 60% of chipsets.

Samsung should keep itself open to the idea of letting TSMC fabricate for its SoCs when its Exynos department is in a twist. I am sure they could use NDA to cover that fact.

I would love to see something like A12x from the Exynos stables, especially for a production tablet.

Huawei makes the best android chipsets. Last year the Kirin 980 was the first android chipset with 7nm. and now it will be the first with EUV.

Huawei phones stay quick overtime as well unlike other companies

Don Hrle, 22 Mar 2019Same gpu for 2020.? Are they all in on suicide or what? Architecture not a model... Read it again... but nowdays when flagship can be sufficient for 3-4 years for gaming at minimum (depends on software upgrades too but "Flagship" stands for minimum 2 new OS) you can't really feel the difference between this and last years chip except in synthetic benchmarks which is pointless enough since you cant really OC your device and set a record... in day to day and real world i bet if you dont know the models you would guess which is new... After second generation you may feel that difference but not by a huge. even SD 820 can run every game still without lag and if lag comes that would be from the battery , change it and you are good to go again.
