Also, what's wrong with plastic? It's lighter than glass or aluminum, won't break as easily as glass, won't turn into dangerous shards, and not as slippery... Plastic is a modern material. Remember when you could use a phone without anxiety of dropping it without a case?

Looks like an LG POLED crappy display. Hopefully Google will use Samsung OLED. Otherwise... pass.

Off course, it is inferior. and, Google processing is good only in picture quality but according to several media reports, all these machine learning and AI think made their app/phone significantly slower after few months of usage.
One more thing: Companies like Oppo sold devices with this processor last year (2018) and it is already halfway through 2019. How justified it is to charge that much money after 1.5 years!?!

It's for the average consumer who cares about camera quality more than chipset. So having a flagship grade camera for 450 will wipe the floor with any other phone in this price range.

SONY is drying up, does Google want to dry?
Similarly, if some random company can charge $200-250; is ti too difficult for Google to charge $300-350 for this lite version.
