I vow that my next smartphone will be a Huawei or Samsung flagship. I have wasted so much money in budget phones as I bought 5 of them in less than a year and yet none of them lasted me more than 5 months because I got bored after using them in a few months.

Well i record 4k with my phone and then transfer it to my PC and my 4k screen. His reasons for not using 4k is stupid. He also didn't answer why Huawei still haven't implemented 4k in 60p. He refused to answer that question.

i record in fullHD too, its more than enough for me.

EU also avoided confirming giving the contract of building network facilities to Huawei, which could reduce the possible pressure and complaints from US. IMO, EU is waiting for final decision (Yes or no to Huawei, not meaningless announcements). Seemingly, EU did not want to fall behind in the use of 5G which could lead to huge revenue and economic development, but making US angry and weaken their tactical relationships is something they must avoid.

The question was basically "is it good to advertise your device's key features on stage?". I hate it when in those interviews, they ask dumb questions like this. There's a ton of more important questions to answer, like "How do you guarantee security and confidentiality of your telecom equipment?", "What development resources were used to develop the P30's camera?" And you could ask more in-depth questions like if they are planning on expanding their hardware sales to more than mobile devices and telecoms, long term strategy...

no matter how good is their phones, I don't trust their business

It's not factually correct that the EU cancelled a ban of Huawei building 5G networks in Europe. The EU security adviser, who said Huawei should be monitored instead of banned, has no legislative powers. It is more an easy way to skip bureaucracy and tell individual network providers to do the sensible thing and think on security first, i.e. not to consider Huawei.

"First of all the benefits of 4K can only be seen on a very large screen and it makes little sense to have it on your phone"
No that's because Kirin 980 chipset is not capable of encoding video in higher frame rate in 4K resolution. We all know they'll be putting 4K60 on the upcoming Kirin 985 chipset so they should stop with this kind of BS excuse.

"Last year you showed us with the P20 series that your cameras are some of the best in mobile devices, do you still think it is necessary to compare yourselves so strongly with Apple and Samsung live on stage?"
Isn't that the most effective way to show the superiority of their camera system over the competitors' though? Seriously what kind of dumb question is this?

"Secondly, it takes up a lot of storage to record in 4K so you will quickly run out of space and that's a nightmare for consumers."
Wow. Now that's a crap excuse. Phones with 64GB of storage give the 4K@60 option and I've seen no one complain... Is that the kind of excuse they use to prevent unlockable bootloaders? Ah yes, it was for "better user experience" that they locked down their devices.

(And the comparison image they've shown... the Huawei phone had super high ISO with 8s of exposure. The other phones didn't even have 1s of exposure. That's not a good comparison)
