Users report Galaxy S10 front camera using cropped mode in third-party apps

While the main Camera app has the option to go wide, third-party apps can only use the cropped mode.

Memory, chipset, a bunch of other components, that's all Samsung. Also, the curve of the Huawei is bigger than the S10 for a fact, so again, don't make excuses for them. As you said, ultrasonic does need work, so I won't argue that. But when we're talking about the foldable devices, a lot of people picked the Fold in many voting polls. The Mate X is more beautiful, but the Fold is much more practical as a choice. Sure, I'll admit the Fold is ugly. But the point still stands that it won in many polls, making practicality needed for the Mate X, which is more fragile.

As for the idea of the audience, I'm surprised companies haven't gotten the idea to try to make a cohesive family of sorts with their customers. It seems intuitive, and you can get ideas that could possibly help the product sell better

    Wireless charging other devices makes sense if you have a device with bog enough battery to use that. Right here right now its good only for galaxy buds. Depleting one Samsung phone to charge another a very stupid idea.

    Curved screens. Great idea they looks good. But screen protector doesnt fit properly I.E. is smaller and the one which cover whole screen and is also curved is difficult to glue onto the phone. I run a phone shop and you know that gluing 10 protectors for samsung curved screens is really a problem. Especial on places where the screen is curved. Small curve like huawei phones have its ok but large ones is difficult to push the air put. If i press too much i break the screen protector on curved places if i dont press and push a lot the air wont get out. Apart from that curved screen is slippery and more easy to breaks especialy on curved places.

    Ultrasonic fingerprint a very nice idea to put fingerprint scanner under the screen. But somewhere on these pages also by samsung were confirmed it will not work with screen protector. Thus its difficult what to pick. Protect the screen from danger and use pattern, password or anything else apart the fingerprint scanner or have not protected the screen for having a fingerprint scanner work.

    And i can continue with many other examples.

    Truth is each and every company sghould ask people what they want and what they dont want. What they like and dislike. Like Meizu Zero. People were woting and project got cancelled. Just because the people disliked the idea of having complete holeless device.

    Same going for Samsung galaxy fold. Samsung restarted the idea of Kryocerra Echo from 2011 many companies hop into the train. Mate X is successful but Samsung galaxy fold got scolded. All because people decided what they want and how the final device should look and be. About other competitors like Motorola and Xiaomi which hop in into the folding device train we have to wait till final release. But here has been said on these pages Huawei looks like 5 years ahead of Samsung when we compare both folding devices and Samsung galaxy fold looks like Noka 9300 Comunicator.

    So once again. Its nice and good when companies innovate but every time they innovate they should ask audience, ordinary people what they want or like and not force the customers to pay for the technology which is usefull as a laser sight for a slinger or a diet water instead of plain one which have too much calories, or having a sign on street saying sign is not in use, Or having a balcony where is just wall but no door or windows. Or filling a basket with peanuts in shells in a store and aving there a sign this product contains peanuts. Snowball maker device for kids also useless thing to make such as samsung innovations.

        Huawei didnt implemented a wireless charging other devices with their device onto a phone like samsung did.
        All i wanted to say when comes tp innovation Huawei adds usefull things which works great.
        When samsung creating new technologies they dont care what people want they only sees the money which can add on top of the phone price due to a lot more RD costs.
        I dont try to bash Samsung and defend the Huawei at same time.
        I just want to show that technologies should be made for people and good for use.
        Adding usefull technologies is great idea but making something before even thinking if people would like or not the technology isnt that great.

And when you say 4000 mAh isn't enough, shall we talk about the fact that both Samsung and Huawei literally have 4000 mAh which can last offer a day. If you're going to call out Samsung, then don't defend Huawei as well

            Its like to push the car over the read hill.
            Angle of 10% would be difficult but not impossible for a single person.
            Angle of 30-45% would be feat that even strongest mans on the earth couldnt do.
            And the imporvements on S10 and Huawei P30 are completely different.
            Faster charger more and better cameras thats usefull.
            Ultrasonic fingerprint scanenr maybe second or third generation woould be fine but even samsung confirmed it doesnt works with screen protector.
            Same goes for wuireless charging. Allright charging the buds included in box would be a nice idea but charging one phone to deplete another is not very nice.
            Phones like Oukitel K10 or Energizer Max with massive 10k+ battery could be great with this ability. But 3500 or 4000 mAh is definitely not enough.

                Thats enough. This i call usefull features.
                Fingerprint reader needs to work and wireless charging is really bad idea. Punchhole camera as well. And the samsung curved screen is really stressfull. People will understand that when they have to glue 3+ a day.
                I run a mobile shop and gluing screen protector and pushing air from curved sides is horror movie. If you dont push too much the air wont get out if you push too much you will break screen protector where is curved.

                              Also in Whatsapp s10+ uses wide angle rear camera by default instead of main shooter. I've emailed Whatsapp about this and they claim root cause lies with Samsung.

But as it stands, it's not who does it first, it's who does it best. In the end, being the first to something means jack if it isn't implemented correctly. That's not to downplay Huawei though, they make their phones long lasting and fast. Just because Samsung focuses on another aspect doesn't make them an invalid.

                                        You could like a company better than another but still not insult them
