At least the official reason not to support ICS – not enough memory to run Touchwiz smoothly. but who like Touchwiz??? all want ics without touchwiz..
Galaxy S was the last Samsung device I ‘ve bought.
No more Samsung products for me.

Valu Pack has not that much value. No regional language supports like Hindi and Nepali. I don't love this Value Pack. No comparable with ICS.

True story ^_^ Anyway, I would never ever buy a phone from Samsung. Reason? It's simple, when a company updates 3 phones out of their whole lineup that means I am in a real dangerous jeopardy if I buy a phone from them. I bet the Ace Plus won't be upgraded to ICS and it was just released this month with specs capable of running ICS.

Same goes for Galaxy S and ICS... We will see how well it will look on Optimus Black or Xperia Neo...
That it runs ok on normal Android Launcher is no wonder, but I totally agree, that TouchWiz 3 and ICS are the problem here, so the one who wants ICS on Galaxy S, has to let go of TouchWiz, thats all.
And I dont get why everyone needs an update... It doesnt make anything much better, all you need, already works on Galaxy S, all you get from the update is a higher Firmware number in options and a slower device and a new theme maybe, so download a new theme, install via CWM and have all in a actually better way.

Samsung sucks... no more samsung if official ICS update doesn't come in next 6 months.... atleast announced . shall definitely apply on my own after March as warranty expires then.....

Yes...this may be true.........but then the lag you get from the poor processor trying to run the updated software means you end up getting a new phone anyway! Of course that's not their intention anyway....they are just more into the fact your phone is running the latest software....!

@ GRV ofc they do! There are countless examples of stuf not beeing compatible, devices not getting updates/beeing supported, stuff getting left out of updates or simply "you can update but it will make your device sluggish and laggy" (which in my book is the same or even worse than no update... you can see the cake but you can't eat it)
Nokia: Symbian s60 not beeing upgradable to Symbian^3, Symbian as a whole is dying slowly and looks like a dead end, Maemo Dead and had poor Nokia support from the get go, Meego unsupported and a "dead end"

I wish everyone in the world had your logic. Then the word would be such ana amazing place! LOLOL! Anyways. they are soon dumping pletnty of old phones as well and not every Iphone is updating to the latest OS and the older ones that are will not hold out forever. Besides not like he new IOS really brings anything. Besides at least Samsung invents, innovates, and brings epic and new tech....That's to Crapple. nokia is not the most advanced, but still is great :)

Samsungs reasons for not releasing ICS or the valuepack are unfounded, Im curently running ICS CM9 without any issue on my Galaxy S i9000 and love it, works very well :)
Checkout XDA if u want ICS whether sammy want you to or not...

What new technology did Samsung bring????
First HD recording and first HD playback in a mobile. Also the best 1080P in a phone so far.
First 12mp camera to mobiles. It was the best then and still seems to be the best 12mp now and hold it's own to the 8mp champ today..The GS2 if you ignore one false review.
First built in projector to a mobile.
They have brought Amoled(the best screen tech in the world) to amazing heights and usefulness. They have been improving to marvelous beauty.
They brought us the Hummingbird which really really changed the mobile cpu/gpu world.
Then the Exynos which was amazing.
Along with Nokia they have been on top in mobile camera quality.
They supply the cpu's for Apple along with other parts and so does many other other companies.
This list goes on...not to mention aside from mobiles their amazing pc's, laptops, tv's, cameras, moniters, and appliances.

You are way too whiny. Their update support is nowhere near the low you are trying to unjustly convince it is. Poor build quality? They are just fine. You are just another troll. There is a difference between poor build and plastic. Plastic is cheap, light, durable, and easy to use. They phones are built well and can last a long ass time

Most likely loosing one update that may make the end user's phone a lil slower is not the end of the world. And a lot of people will want the GS3 because of it's epicness. And liking a company for what they can do and have done and for being better is loving technology. I am a fan of Samsung for all they have done in leading mobile tech....not just simply to be a fanboy like you obviously are
