kurotsuki, 02 Apr 2019Probably NFC, Zeiss, and Android One. Can't find anything o... moreI am talking about the news phone that has 660 in it. And i dont use NFC so i dont care about it. The more info i set in my phone like Bank accounts linked and NFC i will make it as a security risk for my self. And Zeiss is long dead. Having a name on a phone does mean nothing. And what makes Zeiss any good on these 1-2mm dimension lenses ? Better then others that mass produce them ? And talking about updates. I have Redmi Note 5 ai and i soon get Android Pie on it as i know developers version already run on Pie or the Pie beta is already on these phones. There is pretty much nothing from Nokia that motivates me to buy from them. While i was a Nokia fan before and this new HMD/Nokia is just pollution. Total waste of money. Get your Android One boohoo but pay 200 euro more for same hardware for what ? Xiaomi phones that are with MIUI get 3 years of security updates too and one major android update for sure on there budget line even. Maybe even 2 major android updates. Even Windows 10 license dont cost that much then android one licence from Nokia. They dont even have amoled screens on there phones to justify so high price on them.

      Costlier by atleast $150.

Unfortunately it seems to only sport an IPS LCD instead of AMOLED Panel.

Snapdragon 675 would have made this phone a perfect midranger. SD660 is so 2018.

            8.1 plus is a downgrade feom 8.1...

              Another overpriced product.
You want to compete with the same segment as samsung or what.
I'd rather buy samsung because after-sale service is way much better.
And yes, chinese smartphone brand nowadays have even better service than samsung.

hmm, 02 Apr 2019https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=9513&idP... moreProbably NFC, Zeiss, and Android One. Can't find anything other than those three. If you want any of those three (probably NFC and Android One, since Zeiss only a nice-to-have niche), you'll pick Nokia over Redmi. Other than that, Redmi FTW.

Oh, and even if Redmi did have Android One, Xiaomi QC usually miss a thing or two when releasing new OS upgrade, like what they did on A1 and A2. But they work quite fast to roll another update to patch their mistakes. This (not-thoroughly-tested updates) rarely happen on Nokia side, except that one case where code for China only release merged into 7.1 Plus by mistake. Not a big deal in the long run, though.

Edited: Oh... Wait... NFC usually added on global version (8.1 Plus if what the article said is true). If what you meant is the China version (X71), of if the global moniker set to Nokia 6.2, then strike the NFC (since I have doubt NFC will added to 6.x line, after it was missing on 6.1 Plus).

Phone looks beautiful but I don't trust Nokia anymore.
I bought Nokia 7.1 at launch and the phone stopped working after two months.

So whats so good on Nokia X71 over Redmi Note 7 ? I just asking cause i really would like to understand it. From xiaomi get 3 phones for the price of one phone from Nokia that is pretty much same specs. Or at least 2 Redmi Note 7 with the 64GB storage and 6GB ram version and still have money left over even to buy accessories for the phone.

I agree that the snapdragon 660 is a bit underpowered at this price point but put this into perspective. The xperia 10 is 400 hundred dollars. So more than 50 dollars of the starting price of this phone. And it has the snapdragon 630. I know just because sony did this is not ok for them to follow. But if your take your look away from the chipset then this seems like a pretty great phone.

Nick Tagataka, 02 Apr 2019If you run benchmarks, yeah. Otherwise no.The poor Fanboy answer.... Seriously, where did you find the courage to write that!
It's a worthy update with or without the support of any benchmarks.

So yes the frequencies are same but it consumes less, offers better GPU, AI, improved Quick Charge, camera and faster modem.

Another overpriced basic phone for Nokia blinded sheeps. They'll end like Blackberry, selling them mid-range phones at flagships prices. A matter of time only. Bad camera setup and old SoC for that price, as usual. Sure that their photos will have noise in low light as usual.
