2020 can notch come fast enough for Apple...

Recently, iPhone commercials have been indicating iPhone's are more private than competitors. If that's true, great. If Apple get rid of fugly as hell iPhone notches, then that too would be great. I hope whomever at Apple came up with that garbage notch has been fired long ago, and Apple removes those iPains immediately. Tim Cook is an ugly science nerd excuse for Steve Jobs, of course he would allow ugly displays on iPhone's. Note to Apple: fire Cook, and hire someone who keep Apple's valuation at north of a trillion USD at all times... Cook hasn't done so.

Anonymous, 02 Apr 2019You call 1024Mbps „laggy“? If I used that chip to it’s full... morehe didn't say it was slow (as in B speed), he said laggy, as in ping and turn on/connection times.

2020 iPhones will come with punch hole cameras.

Fayth, 02 Apr 2019as long as they don't make that square off centre camera is... moreugh that 3 camera prototype is truly ugly hope they do not use that prototype as final design, huawei 3 camera design (mate 20 pro) is much better looking or apple could copy P30 camera design for their next gen iphone

5.42 .... why is Apple the only manufacturer who seems to be able to produce "small" (by todays standard) phones? I wish the copy paste strategy of other manufacturers would not stop at trends like the notch but rather include the general device size....

Well, you're misunderstanding things. First off, the year when iPhone 8 series and X were announced, namely 2017, was indeed the "s" year but naming wouldn't went well if Apple decided to launch 7s, 7s Plus along the newly announced X. Isn't that strange? 8 fits well with X or ten rather than "seven s". 2017 was the strangest year because was an "s" year only partially, because X was there to debut not to be updated.
One year after that, in 2018, Apple announced an "s" year where there would have been a regular year, this because of the void caused by X. This is supported by speed values of the CPU chosen for an "s" year (s for speed). A12 bionic was more of an incremental update to A11 with mediocre speed value gain over A11, about 15%, while A11 was about 27% faster than A10.
If we follow the first line of iPhones, all the way to the 8 series we might say that 2019 is indeed an "s" year, but it will be a regular one, which is strange.
I suggest 2019 will be similar to 2016 when 7 series were announced in term of specs. One more camera sensor for Plus-sized iPhones (confirmed), more RAM (rumored 6GB), new ingress protection (rumored 5ATM), new CPU (nothing new here), one less port (my suggestion here to achieve 5ATM waterproofing, namely lightning connector), and so on.

Well 5.42" without bezels sounds okay. A bit too big but manageable. Add type C and 2020 is going to be a great year for iPhone.

Is the iPhone still a thing? bleah

Basically, only camera improvements and usual bionic performance in bumps.... Nothing major, hour they start reducing prices $200 every year for rehashing the same. BTW, no 5G, and laggy Intel WiFi and 4G modems deserve far lesser price points. Hope no more 820p displays for God sake!

now all iphones started to look the same since iphone X....
same case was in iphone 4 to 6 or maybe 7

Now imagine in ppaces they charge more than twice already.
