GrU, 05 Apr 2019Try with Sony headphones. What Sony headphones? If I do not count XM line (big, fragile), are there even other Sony BT that are at least semi-decent?
I don't think so, Sony usually sucks when it comes to headphones - with exceptions you can count on one hand.

i was going to pick these up as a replacement to my already decent powerbeats 3, i wanted a decent set of clip ons as the usual buds dont stay in but im not paying £230+ for them, thats a £70 mark up on the previous gen for a H1 chip and no wires, not worth it, typical apple premium, i like beats but they are not THAT good

Which means in case you give your device to a relative or sell it, that person must buy the license. Or if you replace this device, you must buy a new license.

Wireless, fast pairing, tangle free vs sound, no need to charge, in-ear design etc etc. Even platform iOS or android also plays a part on these earphones.

Right now you can't even get near quality of some old DLSR like a Canon 450D.
Phone take pictures, DLSR takes photos, is up to you what do you need.

People buy Huawei P pro, why not go for a DSLR with even more zoom and picture quality?
There are more to consider, other niches.
Besides Airpods or Beats sound is not best but not bad. It comes in a small package, H1 fast switch. Sometimes you want sound from the surrounding.. or hear your friends speak or driving, so you wear one side.
Same as a single handled phone, while you carry stuff with the other hand.

If you need to regularly use just one Airpod, it's ultimately dumb not to buy a proper headset with better mic, better sound, better battery life and even much better price.

H1 chips switch between devices is fast. around 2 secs.
It make sense if you have multiple devices. Mac / iPad / iPhone / Apple watch.
but Airpods is better, you can wear one side, switch over, etc etc. while this BEATs is more for sports. airpods has the longest battery of its class. Virtually 12 hrs or more continuous playback.. be it you wear one side while the other side charges for 5 mins.
sadly it does not work properly with android devices or PC.. you remove one side of the airpods, it continue to playback. plus you can’t direct the mic L or R logic. If apple make apps for android or windows it would be great.
