hey, i am an android fan myself, but we have to give credit to apple for this. apple watch really has been greatly improved from merely just a wearable. because of the ecg certification on the latest iteration medical practitioners, especially those in cardiology or anything that matters with the cisculatory system, has recommended the apple watch series 4 to those who need some form of real-time heart monitoring. no other wearable has achieved this certification and as such apple watch series 4 is actually cosidered as a class 2 medical device. google (alphabet) is supposed to also have in the works a wearable that will have ecg certification and may not be ready til later this year or early the next.

This isn't the first case of an apple watch saving someone's life. There have already been a few cases. Fall detection also saved a few folks. Soon insurance companies will give you discount on your premium if you can hit certain health goals.

James Whister, 07 Apr 2019Tomorrow's news: Apple doubles the price of iWatch.. xDlolll

Quite a paradox here: the guy buys an Apple watch and uses its features even in bed to track his health... At the same time, he eats briskets in bed...
Man, the watch can tell you that your heart rate is irregular and so many things but just get out of bed and really take care of your life. Who the hell eats that in bed?

303tk4, 07 Apr 2019Stop tauting. Nobody would talk when a man got run over ... moreIt's weird that his heart rate was normal and then suddenly got faster and he didn't notice that. Who the hell has his heart rate high without noticing it?

When I read the article, it had the Galaxy S10's fingerprint sensor as the thumbnail image. It was irrelevant hence I wrote the previous comment.

FullmetalJun, 07 Apr 2019Credits to Apple for making a watch that's actually useful ... moreI think it's because it uses the S chips.
Remember people moaning about how turning bluetooth and Wifi off on iphones doesn't really turn them off? This is why. The watch and iphone are always sort of connected. Similar to how you just open the airpod case and they connect.

Android phones have many variations and the settings vary differently. I suppose Apple can't guarantee that the watch will work as it should.

Credits to Apple for making a watch that's actually useful for health. But since it's an accessory similar to the Airpods, I don't understand why it's not compatible with Android.
It would be great if it worked with Android phones.

Good to see Apple derangement syndrome in full force in comment section.
