    1. AMOLED's peak brightness is lower than that of IPS LCDs.
    2. AMOLED can compensate #1 because of its excellent viewing angles BUT smartphone screens were not that huge enough for this to be noticiable.
    3. AMOLEDs does have excellent black levels BUT were only significantly obvious on pitch dark environment i.e. when used at night.

    Don't expect AMOLEDs to be too bright at this price range.

        I have been using the phone for about 3 weeks now, Performance is top notch for a mid ranger, the only issues i have is the bio-metrics which definitely is sub par compared to the high end phones that we have right now and possibly the gorilla glass 3 which is probably why they have the phone fitted with a screen protector right out of the box. I have been a mid range phone user(my last flagship phone was the galaxy s4) so I am familiar on how these phone usually performs, please don't go looking for flagship performance and features on phones under these price range.

          After five days I can say that fingerprint reader is useless gimmick, I had to turn it off. Performance is bellow par as transitions or animations are flickering, no fluid performance. It has 4 2.3 GHz cores but to no avail. Plus sides are durable battery and beautiful display. Avoid, there are better chances out there, it is too expensive.

              I returned my Galaxy A50 today,absolutely dreadful phone. Super AMOLED screen isn't as bright as expected,build quality is glossy plastic & feels cheap,the back has a slight give in it which makes it worse. Side keys have a horrible click to them. Camera is poor especially the wide angle lens,absolutely awful quality. One UI was often laggy & had quite a few pauses and delays when navigating menus,the phone often got very hot too. Fingerprint reader is another poor feature of this phone. Huawei & Honor do midrangers best

                Will the review be published this week or the next one (after Easter)? Can't wait. I'm especially interested in loudspeaker volume. I'm hesitating between A50 and LG V30, any suggestions? A50 battery seems to be much better...
