A little late but i want to chime in. With the leaked info the diskless one s should fail.
Reasons.
Cost more than one s but
Does not upsale like one s
Can not play dvd and 4kdvd
Can not use current disc library
The same size as the one s (the only not redeemedable feature)
As for game prices. Digital is cheaper bc you own 2 copies of every game and subscription due to game share. Perfect for miltiple kids couples or friends.
The price though makes the system horrible. The system as leaked is only worth ~139usd compared to the regular one s that is 229.

I hope it will fail misarebly. First it cost way to expensive, considering all digital copies of games cost way more too than physical copies, especially used ones, it has little sense in value. Plus you dont own anything, if your xbox dies, all your games dies with it. You cant resell your games, basically everything what is wrong with digital games will be on this xbox. No thank you.

I don't see difference + this is not a streaming service .... as goggle pretends to copy from other third party companies

I prefer to pay and download my games so they are mine I don't need to pay anything else to use them .

People still play *first* gen consoles. Good luck re-downloading that digital purchase after 35-40 years without paying again or resorting to piracy.

They could have more accurately gone 'virtual', but then that would lead to all sorts of confusion with VR among non-gaming gift buyers.

From a retro-gamer's perspective all digital is awful. If the HDD dies after the console's online support ends you are SOL WRT games you've purchased. At least with discs there is a chance you might still be able to play the game you own again someday (instead of having to re-buy or rent it *if* available on a current service). Discs also have resale value while digital has $0. Digital console games don't go on sale like Steam games, but physical discs do over time. All digital is the industry's wet dream, but it is very bad for the end-user long term.

You're gaming on the cloud and the only information you send are the controller inputs... and only thing you get back is video output. So, essentially you can't ever do something like speeding up or unlimited ammo or stuff.
All you can do is ghosting. Have 2 consoles working on the same online game, and see your opponents' position or something... or have some sort of advanced aimbot which detects opponent on the screen and targets your cursor on it for easy shooting.
Agree with you about games being buggy. God knows what's going on. In the older days, we used to have a DVD with no update or anything at all. It was usually a near perfect game, with minor bugs or so.
Today, its like updating all the time and still not good enough. I play CSGO for now which is ok ok, it still has bugs though...
As for noobs, there's nothing we can do. They have to have a learning curve before they become pros. As they gain age in the real life, they start maturing and don't rage so much..
Yes sometimes, people do get banned wrongly. It happens.

For example, text based adventures on home computers still satisfy peoples imagination and need for entertainment, others prefer original tetris on the gameboy, some of us the witcher 3 or another huge open world game, your limited view of the video game industry is not the be all and end all argument, different people enjoy different things, Take your head out of your behind and realise diversity in all things is the best way forward
