KODAK,
I agree with you, go ahead on the suing thing. You deserve to receive the compensation. Since you have licenced the patent to NOKIA, SAMSUNG, LG getting compensation from APPLE and HTC is a good thing. The patent belongs to you and APPLE and HTC is making money out of it.
Smartphones with camera is booming business, it no suprise not many people buys camera nowadays but it's not the point. The point is, patent is yours and you have every right to get compensated for.

Kodak failed to see the digital camera introduction & nearly went out of business then, they have a right to sue if the companies are using there technology without consent. Companies that adapt to change are being wiped out (Nokia almost left it too late).

like the music industry fighting against the rise of mp3 instead of embracing it. the camera purists playing down the rise of digital photography that is now in the pocket of everyone with a mobile phone.No one cares that the snap of their kids isn't SLR quality their more amazed that its on facebook the moment they hit the share feature, and thats why kodak should be compensated. Lets hope its not to late for kodak to make a run at the mobile phone arena with their 16MP Android-running Kodak Polaroid SC1630 cause not many people carry an expensive camera in their pockets.

I really hope they win this, I'm an HTC user myself but patents are patents. If you wanna use someone else's tech in something that will make you money then you should damn well pay for it.

generally i would associate kodak with the cheaper camera brands as you would often see their disposable cameras in shops, the technology discussed above isn't necessarily important in a camera, if they focused more on the imaging aspect of cameras they would be more competitive with other camera manufactures, rather than losing out to the much faster moving smartphone world where mobile phones have become much more capable where online functions are needed.
either way, they're clearly not selling enough products if they're now relying on selling patients to keep their business going.
